Charles and Judith attend Judy’s graduation and escort her to West Chester University to begin her training as a music teacher.
Judith insists on transferring Jonathan and Angus to Germantown Academy and that Charles accompanies her.
Charles is called to Nashville to resolve an issue with a neighboring rancher who does not want a hog farm north of his ranch due to the wind blowing from the pig ranch across his ranch most days.
While in Nashville, a local rancher’s son attempts to kill Charles for his jacket, knife, and horse. Trouble erupts, and after buying the father’s four farms to eliminate the threat, the son returns to complete the assassination. The son is killed, and the father travels to Vallejo to kill Ghost to get back at Charles.
While resolving an issue in Kansas City, Frederick Fielding, the man who planned to block off Charles’ hotel in Cape Coral, shows up and attempts an assassination.
Once again, Charles tries to resolve issues lawfully, which puts his life and his family’s lives at bay.
