Publisher's Summary

“Flawless.” (James Patterson)

The explosive new thriller from the number-one New York Times best-selling coauthor of James Patterson’s Michael Bennett series

When a Gulfstream jet goes down in the Bahamas carrying a fortune in cash and ill-gotten diamonds, expat diving instructor Michael Gannon is the only person on the scene. Assuming himself the beneficiary of a drug deal gone bad, Gannon thinks he’s home free with the sudden windfall until he realizes he forgot to ask one simple question.

Who were the six dead men on the plane?

Gannon soon learns the answer to that fateful question as he is thrust into an increasingly complex and deadly game of cat and mouse with a group of the world’s most powerful and dangerous men who will stop at nothing to catch him.

But as the walls close in, Gannon reveals a few secrets of his own. Before he retired to the islands, Gannon had another life, one with a lethal set of skills that he must now call back to the surface if he wants to make it out alive.

As a decade-long James Patterson writing partner, Michael Ledwidge is a pro at writing fast-paced, in-the-moment prose, tightly choreographed action set pieces and plot twists that drop at exactly the right moment. With this novel, he kicks off an unstoppable, gripping new thriller series.

There really is a “They” - great for $3

The summary teased an MC with a very “lethal set of skills,” so I crossed my fingers and hoped for Liam Neeson. This 7hr book takes a bit to get there, but, yes, Michael Gannon does indeed have skills. There are eye-rollingly overdone and trite plots, including the YouTube paranoid journalist that what-do-ya-know is actually right about things, the beyond credible ability of crooked government types to track your every move, and a dangerous white man singlehandedly taking down lots of the big bad “Them.” Oh, and a lady Navy lieutenant that never does anything soldiery and exists just to be a damsel for the MC. Still, for a daily deal, and a short listen, this is a serviceable start to a new series ... especially the last two hours which gives a pulpy Liam Neeson good time.

Lots of action, over-the-top plot

What's good: lot of action and good narration. What's less good: a plot that involves a government conspiracy that makes Q-anon seem tame coupled with a hero who kills at least 7 people and then simply is able to sail off into the sunset with the girl.

Totally surprised me — in good way!

This book, Stop At Nothing, took me by surprise — & I’m so glad! Thriller-who-done-what, action novels are next-to-never a genre I seek, select, read or even consider. I’m so happy I took a chance on this Daily Deal, as it would have been a good selection even if I’d had to use a credit — but, I never would have done that! So — this is a well written, excellently narrated story with a fast pace which is easily followed, logically woven, smartly presented, filled with interesting twists and turns & with characters that work, have just-enough depth for their roles. And, the settings, too, are very different from any to which I usually gravitate, other than that the ocean and boats of all sorts & airplanes have been happy parts of my life. This whole effort I found fun, interesting, a perfect action-with-reason, hang-on-to-your-hat, fascinating read! Surprised to say I highly recommend!

Very fun ride

This is the first book I have read by Michael Ledwidge and it's fair to say that I am a fan. Although the plot could be viewed as simple, the progression of the story combined with the characters made for a very fun ride.

I'll certainly be reading more from Michael Ledwidge.

Great Story!!

I was trying to make it through one of those novels that had all kind of awards when I had to give up.
I just wanted a book that I couldn’t put down and
STOP AT NOTHING was that book. Very entertaining! Maybe not realistic - I’m not sure and don’t much care. I was most definitely entertained. Narrator was good also.
