What made the experience of listening to Stop Reading, Start Studying the most enjoyable?

I really grasp things better when they are read to me. Being dyslexic I find it easier to listen than to read, and when you listen you can close your eyes and envision what is being said and think about ways to apply it to your life.

What other book might you compare Stop Reading, Start Studying to and why?

I would compare it to "the complete guide to the bible" By Adam Hamilton. I had to read that book in a religion class in college and they have some similar ideas in them. For instance understanding the language and way the Bible is written.

Which character – as performed by Jeff Davenport – was your favorite?

There were no characters, but I would love to hear Jeff Davenport do character voices. I think he would be great at it. I am about to see what other books he has narrated and consider getting them for my next coin.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I could go either way on this one if you have two and a half hours then yes, if you don't then just driving to and from work you could listen to this in 2-3 days depending on how long your drive is.

A Gift from the Most High

I was thoroughly impressed by Henry Jackson, III's work! I like to feed myself spiritually. But I know that I have not been giving this my full and due attention. When I first heard the words of this great book, I was floored. It was as if God Himself had said these words through Henry Jackson just for me to hear them.

For the past year I've been reading a devotional on my Bible app but I was doing just what Henry Jackson stated in his book. I was only reading, I was not study. Now I have a greater appreciation for why I need to spend more time with the word and why and how it will enhance my life. I'm very grateful for this book and I know that anybody else who reads it will find a very similar experience as the one that I have had. Great job Mr. Jackson!

Motivational Teaching Tool

My faith has always been the most important part of my existence. Yet, i found myself in search of ways to better understand the word of God. I am thankful to the author, Mr. Jackson for creating this audiobook. It has been extremely helpful in my "study" methods. I find myself "studying" for hours at a time whilst learning new and useful information each time. I highly recommend this audiobook for those in search of a better understanding of the bible

An excellent study aid

What made the experience of listening to Stop Reading, Start Studying the most enjoyable?

It allowed me to overcome the language of the bible, being written in an old form of english I have struggled for reading and absorbing the small but important details of the Bible

Who was your favorite character and why?

The narrator, he brings a quality to the book that allows you to absorb and understand what is needed to be done to gain more from the Bible.

What does Jeff Davenport bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His depth of experience and knowledge comes through and this is what is needed to help you read and understand more from the good book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes but I know I will go back and revisit certain chapters in the future

sounds good in theory but when you go to the inductive Bible study app, they want money for each lesson

ab excellent resource for anyone serious about studying the Bible. I would recommend this resource for every Sunday school teacher.

Great Content

Great material! The only reason this review isn't five stars is that the narrator makes it sound like an infomercial. But the content is so vital I almost feel guilty for removing a star.

Information is of great value.

The speaker's style and tone of voice are more suited for selling items on the Home Shopping Network.

Felt like finished listening to a three hours infomercial....

The book is good, very good, and very helpful; however, the reader is just a little too "enthusiastic" like one of those infomercial guy.

Good bible study structure

Ultimately the holy spirit gives understanding but this is a good method to aid study.
