Probably better as a physical copy purchase

If you’re into droning robotic speech this audiobook’s for you. I’m sure there is helpful information in this book. Do yourself a favor and get a physical copy. I think the audio was cut poorly in some spots it seemed like information was missing.

I love this book

This book was very helpful in helping me to learn the importance of being gentle with myself. All the chapters are clear and provide ideas that can be put to practice. This is a book for anyone who wants to get things done and stick to their goals.

I am very pleased to listen that audible

The author of this audio book turns the entire perception of ‘you get controlled by your thought’ to a life where your thoughts become subjects under your full authority.

some parts were extremely helpful

at first it was very dull, but it had a lot of information other self help books lacked like positive affirmations. it's not the most inspiring book, but it isn't dry textbook style learning either. so overall pretty good. my 3rd/4th favorite self help book so far.

Really excellent book

Wow book. A great many people still think that massive success comes from luck or natural talent, but while these certainly are a factor, there's a much better predictor of success than luck or talent.

Struggled to finish

Some good tips, but delivered in a most boring way. Narrator sounds like he is reading a prepared statement, with almost no inflection. Not really the advice I was looking for.

Not suggested for those triggered by shame based curriculum

While this book has some useful tips- for the most part it leans on the side of shame based action. The thinking is a little too outdated for my taste. I wouldn’t suggest it for folks who’s anxiety based overthinking is brought on by trauma.

Terrible!

If your into audio books, you enjoy self development, stop right now.

Don’t even start this.

Narration is poor and soulless, content is worse, pick almost anything else.

I want my credit back lol 😁

Some useful ideas, some not helpful

Some of the book had useful ideas like how to get past perfectionism , and get a project started , how to turn more negative thoughts into positive . However it was a bit repetitive , and some of its ideas of how to obtain ‘success’ are very culturally situated ( I am a psychology graduate so look at it from that perspective) based on the ‘American Ideal’. Those ideas of happiness are rather narrow. It’s focus is on how anyone is able to change themselves and get anything they want if they want it enough , which could really be quite offensive to people who have suffered terrible circumstances / illness/ disability and, there is nothing about being realistic and accepting any limitations within the plan for happiness. By asserting that you are fully in charge of your destiny it doesn’t deal with factors that are beyond your control . It was very goal orientated and not much focus on the joy of day to day experience . I think it is a book suitable for people interested in looking at better focus , who do not have a mental health issue ( as I don’t feel it would help those folks at all and is far too simplistic in the cause).
