"Sergei and Ada's story is very compelling and the reader is breathless to read the end of their story.” (Rabia Tanveer for Readers' Favorite)

From USA Today best-selling author Lucy Leroux - a Readers' Favorite five-star listen.

Sergei Damov is in love with someone who isn’t interested in him, but he’s determined to change that.

It doesn’t happen right away, but soon Sergei has Ada right where he wants her - in his bed. Then demons from his past resurface, and he brutally pushes her away before the darkness inside him can consume them both.

But Ada isn’t about to let herself be used. Soon she turns the tables on him and disappears, leaving a mystery in her wake. Why was Ada working under an assumed name? Not just with him, but at every job she ever held?

Prickly, Then Sweet Relationship Between H&h

Prickly, Then Sweet Relationship Between H&h

I have now listened to several books in this series, and this may be my favorite one! I loved the interactions between the hero and heroine from the start, and things sure got complicated quickly. While the hero didn't treat her well after their initial intimacy, I understood his reasons for doing it, and I loved her reaction to him because of it! She's one strong lady! And she needs to be, for more than one reason. She's been on the run for a while, usually staying no longer than three months in one place before moving on, because of a complicated family history that I'll let you discover if you choose to listen to or read this book. She has a hard time trusting people, understandably so. Even when she and another's life are in greater danger, she has a hard time trusting the hero with her full story… and her heart. But when she comes under his much-needed protection, she slowly melts, and they are so delightful together. As has happened in each book of this series so far, there's an extended period when the heroine is at the mercy of the villain, as needs to happen in a good thriller. This story’s heroine has a more protracted one than most, and you can't help but feel for her as she navigates her precarious situation while keeping herself and another alive. She's resilient and clever, even if she gets a bit impatient at times. Naturally, the hero and his best buddies have a plan to rescue her, even if it doesn’t go off as planned. Of course, things eventually turn out well, and because of all the difficulty getting there, the HEA is particularly sweet…and funny…and steamy. While this book is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone, but you will probably best appreciate it if you've read/listened to the prior books so you understand the complex relationships between the men in the series and the women who come into their lives.

Angel

Sergei has had a thing for his assistant Ada (Eva). Once he gets what he wants from Ada, he pushes her away because he thought he hurt her. Hurt and determined to not be used by another man, Ada takes off. Sergei starts looking for her only to find out that Ada is not her real name and has no idea who she is.

Ada is on the run from her stepbrother Karl and once Sergei finds her, he is determined to protect her at all costs. What is really going on with Karl & Ada? Will Sergei be able to protect Ada? Suspense, mystery, passion, steam and some twists kept me up so I could finish this story to see what was going to happen!

Wonderful Narration for a Exciting Story

Ada likes her job at Damov Industries, but her boss Sergei is far too appealing. Sergei has also noticed Ada, but he tries to keep it professional. But one night in Rome changed all that, and sets in motion a wild chain of events. I loved the imaginative storyline and the intense chemistry between Ada/Eva and Sergei - wow, these two are hot together, plus I loved Ada’s brains and how she keeps Sergei on his toes. Wonderfully narrated by Avie Page, this book was a real winner.

Captivating!

Sergei Damov is a billionaire who owns Damov Industries and his newly-hired executive assistant, Ada Turner, is a sight for sore eyes. He's entranced by her beauty and her intelligence, but what he doesn't know is that he's already smitten. He wants to get to know her and she's surprised when she is aware of his eyes on her and is quite pleased. When Sergei surprises her with a kiss, she spends the next few nights unable to sleep. Sergei has a strange reaction and it's apparent there's something in his subconscious that troubles him. It's a different story when she accompanies him on a business trip. They have too much to drink and end up in his suite where they spend a passionate night. When he wakes up in the morning and sees that she has bruises, he runs. He distances himself from her and she doesn't understand why he's so cold. She gave him her virginity but he pushed her away. There was a point when I lost respect for him when he tried to save her from the man he thinks he has become. He has his social assistant call one of his friends with benefits and I could feel Ada's hurt and didn't know if he could redeem himself.  Ada's keeping a secret from him, and the rest of the world, and this is the perfect time to run. After all, she's stayed at this job longer than she normally does before she runs just to stay ahead of the danger. But when she realizes that she's pregnant, everything changes. Sergei has to use every advantage and every one of his friends and associates to find her and bring her back home where she belongs. There are numerous storylines that are woven seamlessly together and the danger that she faces is eye-opening. The epilogue is sweet and their love is potent, but it ended up with what I would call a HFN. Avie Paige is an excellent narrator with her dynamic voice, inflection and cadence that brings all the characters to life.

Eva and Sergei

Omg the feels!! I felt all the intensity on a personal level! Also I need a Sergei! He's so sweet, protective, and growly. I love a big growly teddy bears! Lol

With the narration makes it a million times more intense! Such an awesome voice actor!

Suspenseful, sweet and fun!

Good narration and performance by the narrator. She fit the main female character, Ada, well, and gave a clear performance. Enjoyable performance.

Loved the suspense going on with someone after Ada; it’s great that the suspense carried on throughout the whole book and it wasn’t just a quick fix. Ada went through the ringer!

Ada is one of Sergei’s assistants; he has a major crush on her, but Ada isn’t aware. She thinks she’s not his type; which isn’t a dumb thought with Sergei dating vapid, materialistic women, so she’s not thinking of him that way. Sergei is tired of holding back, so he sets out to seduce her. Things do get steamy, but things don’t end a good way. Sergei runs scared and acts like a jerk; which causes Ada to run as well, without letting anyone know. He realizes what a moron he was, but Ada is already gone. When he tries to find her, it’s found out that Ada isn’t her real name. So, mystery time!

I wish there was a bit more flirtation between them before they got together and how they got together felt a bit sketchy, but the passion between these two was great. Sergei can be a big baby sometimes, but he’s pretty much a sweetheart with Ada. Love how much he cares for her. Ada has a good heart too.

Ada is a smart lady, so I wish the author would’ve had her using her skills more to help herself. I do love a protective male, but I also like to see the woman use her brains to take action. She does somewhat, but she didn’t quite think things through at times. Still liked her though and she does show strength. Also, loved that characters from past books come to help out Sergei; it was great hearing more about their lives. Excited to read about Gio finding his love next!

Loved that there’s some action with the suspense! Ada’s backstory was super interesting too!

A fully entertaining story!

#STEM Heroine for the Win!!

Actual rating 4.5, but rounds to 5 because of rounding rules.
I hadn't quite expected this book to have as much plot as it did, but I'm glad I was mistaken because I enjoyed the story!
I loved getting to know Ada (or is that even her name?)! She has a naïveté about her, without being too ignorant that is was annoying. She was an organized smart person and I quite liked her version of revenge.
Sergei was more complex, meaning there were times where I didn't quite like him, but his rudeness in the situations did fit the personality the author created for him.
I liked the mystery in the story, though I could have used more of a resolution at the end, but the ending was sweet!

The book can be enjoyed as a standalone. I haven't listened to/read any other book in the series and I was able to follow along.

I liked the narrator. She did a good job. I listened at 1.2x speed because I thought it made the story flow better for me. There were a couple of times where I had a little trouble following which voice was which character when there were a bunch male characters in the scenes.

Delicious!

This had lots of my favorite things I want in my stories.

- hero that is dominant and possessive
- heroine that is not weak and super smart
- appearances of previous book series characters
- low on other woman drama
- no cheating
- exciting plot
-fantastic narration

I've loved every book in this series and hope more to come with the Tyler brothers.

Genre: romance, suspense, office
Standalone: yes
Part of a Series: Book 3 of the A Singular Obsession series
POV: Ada/Eva and Sergei

5/5

All is not how it seems in Stolen Angel. What starts as an office romance quickly turns into an international suspense. I like Stolen Angel so much I got the first two books in this series. From running away to hiding to kidnapping there is adventure and intrigue throughout. I love how smart Ada/Eva is.

I received this audiobook for free from Audiobook Obsession. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Good read

Stolen Angel
Book 3 of A Singular Obsession
Lucy Leroux

Sergei and Ada are well written in this breathtaking read. I really enjoyed the chemistry and angst. The journey was well worth the read. I didn't care to much for narration, not bad but could have been better. Good book.
