Helps you live a happier life.

I have heard many self help speakers and listen many books. I had also heard a lot about Stoicism which from day one impacted me more than anything else in the past. Now coming across this book was a pleasure and a blessing in itself.Author was able to concise centuries of such wonderful philosophies in one book where he makes it easy to see it through his eyes and understand the essence of what being a stoic is all about.

heavily on philosophical history

There is a wide range of Stoicism books out there. Most are boring and are either weighted too heavily on philosophical history or simply not entertaining tolisten ..present a work that is, dare I say it..., fun to listen. Hell, they even have doodle drawings. The down to earth explanations of not only Stoicism but the practical ways to implement it is welcoming

This wonderful book has given me lots of tips on how to stop worrying about the little things in life and just to enjoy what I have. After reading this book, I decided to learn more about modern philosophy and how that pertains to my own happiness. Oh and I have also invested in taking a yoga class.

Perfect for a Stoicism Motivational Like myself.

Theory, practice & guidance. Perfect for a noob Stoic like myself. The best section for me was the 'hands-on' section, titled "Preparing Practices". This is where you learn the steps, ideas and practices used to achieve to your transformation

The audible is Self-explanatory

The reason I did not give the audible five stars is that after several chapters in which acceptance of the outcome and responsibility for personal choices is repeated.

The author presented an amazing idea for us

This audible was given to me at a gathering by a companion, and tragically I harmed it so I purchased a duplicate on Amazon. It was well justified, despite all the trouble yet I do wish I purchased a physical duplicate with the goal that I could pass it on.

This audible keeps maintaining its knowledge

Holiday's simple dialogue and compelling stories launched my interest in the Stoics. Having a business, rather than a liberal arts background, I was not exposed to the philosophers.
