Years ago, after suffering a humiliatingly large dumb tax, it dawned on me that I have a seemingly unlimited ability to hit unforced errors and sabotage my business and financial success. I suspect you do, too. It turns out that the key to getting rich (and staying that way) is to avoid doing stupid things. I don't need to do more smart things. I just need to make fewer dumb mistakes. The vast majority of our dumb tax is a direct result of emotional, overly optimistic, and poorly thought out decisions.

They also provide detailed instructions on the ratios and analytical tools the professionals use to evaluate any potential investment. This is an invaluable first read for anyone who wants to learn more about the stock market and investing overall.

Good Explanation
I bought this audiobook looking to understand all the jargon and acronyms used on many of the financial sites. I felt the author did a great job explaining all the different financial indicators and provided a very good summary on some past trading experts. The advice in this book is very sound and emphasizes "do you own homework" approach to picking stocks.
