great information. just bear in mind that it is a little outdated. not current market trends. I preserved a lot from listening to this.

Great For beginners

If your a beginner at investing, or even if you just want to understand what those talking heads on tv are talking about, this is a great place to get started. Its packed with tips, hints and straight up no BS knowledge. It is not a book that tries to get you to invest in penny stocks or tells you that you too can be a millionaire in 30 days. Its simple common sense knowledge for the common person.

Still not feeling confident enough

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Like most who get this title, would like to more about the process and understand the various ways to go about it. Went with a broker only to discover he was making recommendations that benefited his commissions. Lost money in the process. So have been timid going at it on my own.

This title helps describe some basic components but always seem to warn that one could easily lose money as well. So I felt like I was taking one step forward and two back.

So for me this title provide a skimming overview. Touching on a number of topics but none in great detail. I wouldn't recommend this title to a friend.

Still looking into the subject. This one didn't move me closer to investing on my own.

Easy to follow

Very clear, conversational style, well suited for an absolute beginner to the world of investment.
