About this listen

Blacklisted in the photography business when one of her shots causes a scandal, but desperate to somehow continue in the profession, Avery Tate answered an ad for a crime scene photographer. She fully expected to be laughed at, but crime scene analyst Parker Mitchell hired her outright - taking time to teach her the trade. Now she's half in love with the man, half terrified to even acknowledge her feelings, and completely hooked on the job - until the next crime hits too close to home. Avery attends the gallery opening of a new photography exhibit to support her best friend who modeled for the show. The only image of her, though, is a chilling photo of her posing dead. Only the photographer insists he didn't take the shot, and Avery's friend can't be found. As Avery and Parker, along with Parker's brilliant friends, begin to dig into the mystery, they find themselves face-to-face with a dangerous, relentless, and deadly threat which could endanger them all.

A lot of ups and down, in and outs! Just when you think you know who done it and I was wrong. Wonderful Faith filled suspense, mystery, and intrigue. Dani Petry is a wonderful author and Therese Plummer is one of my most favorite narrators.

Good mystery.

A good read.

This book features Parker Mitchell's and Avery Tate's rocky romance. With a nice side helping of murder.

Avery attends the gallery opening of a new photography exhibit featuring her best friend. Only to find that she hasn't turned up.

What has turned up instead is a chilling photo that shouldn't exist. A photo of her friend posing dead. A pose so realistic that fears for her friend have her asking Parker and his brilliant friends for help to dig into the mystery of her missing, possibly murdered friend.

As the friends face more than one enemy, with more than one agenda. Avery and Parker will also have to confront their feelings for each other before it's too late.

I thoroughly enjoyed learning what happened next after the end of book one as well as seeing how our heroes characters continue to involve.

Well done Dani and Therese. I'm off to listen to the next in the series, courtesy of Audible Escape.

Picture me DEAD!

I usually enjoy this author and appreciate the Christian characters. Please beware this story has disturbing subject matter. I almost stopped listening to it several times.
