Publisher's summary

Stiff Them! is a practical guide to paying zero dollars on your student loans, credit cards, medical debts, and other financial obligations. Listen to this book before you make another minimum payment or communicate with any debt collectors.

It is your cure for "wrongful spending" and for "wrongful lending!" Are you, or someone you love, burdened by debts that seem impossible to pay off? Do you struggle to make minimum payments on credit cards? Did you borrow a small fortune to pay for college? Is your FICO score underwater, making credit too expensive or impossible to get? Is the IRS hounding you for back taxes that are now bloated with interest and penalties? Are you paying off mountains of medical debt because your insurance was inadequate or nonexistent? Does it seem you'll never get a mortgage? Are you tired of forking over all of your income for purchases that have lost their sheen and for services that were overpriced to begin with? Are bill collectors badgering you, day after day? Then this book is for you.

Stiff Them! helps you to negotiate your way out of debt, irrespective of its source. You'll learn the truth about bankruptcy, and why for many it should be used first, and not last; how it may be the fastest way out of debt and the smoothest way to get new credit. You'll learn how handling your own tax resolution and debt resolution can save you big money. When you seek professional help, you'll learn to do it smartly.

not that convincing of the strategies

I did not know the end but it ended half way of what I thought it should be next half. Credited no one has been better than Gary to tell mass consumers the street-smart ideas to combat the over-reaching creditors, this one was good but not that great. Read it when working out, but not using your prime time!

Should be called "The Magic of Ch 7 Bankruptsy"

...however..........The title of this book makes promises, the book shallowly delivers but does not follow through. The author fails to elaborate on the ups, downs, ins and outs of the magical "chapter 7" bankruptcy concept. I feel I should give them one star and force them to negotiate the remaining 4 stars....after all...everything is negotiable. Half way through this book I had to do a double take to make sure I was listening to the same book because the author went on an off-topic tangent about being in "flow". I get it, it's ok, but as a listener, I expected a SOLID 8 chapters that would go more in depth on the topics of this book and instead I felt like the author just wanted to preach about their personal theories on living in the moment. Wait....what was the topic of this book? Yup...thats how it felt. Personally, I have a great interest in the books written by this author, particularly their books on negotiating. For the author, I feel this book was a quick fix - IMO I feel like the author was attempting to please the audience with gimmicky titles and hot topics while losing sight of passion and substance.
