I Love Mattie
This is one of my favorite series. Mattie is funny, intelligent and realistic. I love her relationship with Hurley and the other supporting characters. The mystery was well written and very clever. The worst thing about this book is that it's over and I have to wait for another book to be published.

Best Book of the Mattie Winston Series
This book explores several interesting topics. Dom's secret wish, mean girls, single mother turmol, the importance of commication and ferious love for family. Sounds vague and cheesy but i dont want to spoil anything. Good "road read" for family with teens.

I've really tried
I liked the first two books, but can't put my finger on why I haven't been able to finish the others. I think it's simply that I want more humor, which is a personal thing. The writing is pretty good, I like the characters mostly, and I learn a lot about forensics, but Maddie doesn't seem to enjoy herself ever since the first couple of books. It's all complain complain, as if she expected to get a gift card for having unprotected sex instead of another person.

Disappointed
The audible exclusives were a disappointment, this one being the worst. I could get over Mattie becoming a “pick me” girl, but the 10+ plugs for Amazon within the story were too much.

Enjoyable
I have found this to be an enjoyable series, set in a small town in Wisconsin (my home state). It's not over the top with action, or sex, just a nice comfortable listen. I would recommend to start with the beginning of the series though.
