Interview with Steve Tomasone, founder of Southwest Companies, a Cleveland commercial and industrial property restoration company. From owning one of the only truck body shops in Solon, Ohio to starting this commercial painting company, Steve has experienced decades of set backs that have contributed to his ultimate success. He has happily reached the point in his career to have his son take over as President and Owner while Steve assumes a more behind-the-scenes role overseeing day to day operations and estimating.
Listen to this episode to learn more about the doors slammed in your face, the "dumpster chasing" and the struggles of creating the best team and company culture. In the last 10 years Steven's son, the new President of Southwest Companies, has almost tripled their previous best year - a true testament to the success of Southwest Companies and the now multi-generational business that Steven started almost 4 decades ago.
Special thanks to Steven Tomasone of Southwest Companies Inc in Independence, OH.
Our hosts: Kirk Teets of Cleveland Custom Coatings and Kim Kitchen of Burning River Marketing.
