    Bruce Wheeler, the co-founder of the Heritage BluesFest, has been contemplating a winter version of the annual, three-day music festival. We’ll discuss the ideas, and we’ll also talk about a return of the evening blues shows Bruce staged pre-pandemic.

    It will be another two-hat interview with Erikka Storch during the second hour of the show. First, we’ll address several state issues with the member of the House of Delegates, including the condition of local roadways, the upcoming streetscape project, the $18 million renovation to the Wheeling Suspension Bridge, and the ongoing bridge and ramp projects along Interstate 70. During the final segment, Storch will represent the Wheeling Chamber of Commerce while discussing the Main Street Bank Festival of Lights Parade that is scheduled for November 19th in downtown Wheeling.

    Kris Maher is a former reporter for the Wall Street Journal and he has written a book titled, “Desperate with Simon and Schuster,” which details the issues that have taken place in coal communities across the state of West Virginia. We’ll discuss the book and the battles that have taken place over jobs, clean drinking water, mine conditions, and the abrupt closures that have taken place through the years.
