Publisher's Summary

Stern

A new Westmoreland story!

Part of a new trilogy from New York Times best-selling author Brenda Jackson

Stern Westmoreland never makes mistakes - until he helps his best friend, Jovonnie "JoJo" Jones, with a makeover - for another man. Now Stern wants JoJo for himself. Their attraction is undeniable, and there's only one way to prove it: one long, steamy night together as much more than friends!

Bachelor Untamed

One mind-blowing kiss. That was all Ellie Weston shared with her neighbor and crush one summer, before he angrily discovered she'd approached him on a dare. Ten years later, Ellie is back at her great-aunt's lake house, and so is Uriel Lassiter - still wildly sexy, single, and happy to stay that way. When Ellie finds her great-aunt's never-completed romance novel, she decides to finish the manuscript - but first she needs some real-life inspiration: a sultry summer fling.

Uriel hasn't forgotten Ellie, and their sizzling chemistry is starting to make him reconsider his tried-and-true bachelor status. But when the truth about her motive emerges, can Ellie convince him that make-believe has turned into sweet reality?

The narrator needs to STOP!!

If you could sum up Stern & Bachelor Untamed in three words, what would they be?

Wonderful. Great. Awesome.

What did you like best about this story?

I love the basic story line of girl loves boy but boy doesn't know. Boy loves girl, but refuses to give in to it.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

OMG!!! He needs to STOP trying to narrate a girls voice. Its SOOOOOOOOOOOO painful to hear. I would rather he just read it without doing character voices. If it wasn't for the story line I would have stopped listening all together.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The narration of this book made it hard to really get into the book. I love Brenda Jackson's books and can get into it with a laugh at some points. This book I just couldn't!!!!!

Story is good, but the narrator isn't

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The narrator needs work on his voices. Every male character in the book sound the same, and the women sound horrible.

Is it possible to get a woman narrator?

The voices are horrible, and really takes away from the book

Has Stern & Bachelor Untamed turned you off from other books in this genre?

Not at all, but I would rather read the book than listen to the voices.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

He isn't good with women's voices, and all of the women sound horrible.
All of the men have the same sound and country twang. It's not a suave sounding person.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

disappointment --- I was hoping it would get better. The stories are fine, but the narration is awful.

Any additional comments?

I am not sure who chooses the narrators, but all of the Brenda Jackson books needs another narrator that can do more voices.

Stories are beginning to blend and become bland!

Stories are becoming more and more predictable. Read and listened to most series. It was an alright book.
