Still captivating

I love this series, each one is as captivating as the other and as anxious as I am to read/listen to see how it ends, I will have mixed feelings about it. I will be happy to hear he finally makes it to Key West and sad that his journey ends.
The author as always brings the story to life and his way with words helps me picture the scenery in my mind; of course having seen or been to some of the places helps.
Thank you Richard Paul Evans for another fascinating story.

filler is the otherwise good series

This entry in the Richard Paul Evans' "Walk" series does little more than get us from book two to book four, with a couple of stories of people who provide bizarre punctuation to an otherwise mundane stroll from St. Louis, Mo to the Florida border. The two stories of people Alan meets along the way seem to be little more than bigoted caricatures of an imagined alt-conservative, religious and backwards if not bizarre American South.

I am otherwise thoroughly enjoying the Series, minus this needless blip, and appreciate Evans' street-level philosophy in his books. I gave the first two books 5 Stars!

4th Hit in the Series!!

Looking forward to number 5!! I love this author and the fact that he is also the narrator!! He weaves a great yarn!

Book Four--

This book is the fourth in a 5-book series--

I discovered this series with book one--The Walk--and did not realize it was a series at that time. Once I found that there were four more books, I read all four without straying to any other books in between. That's unusual for me--I don't think I've ever read any of my series books back-to-back! I had no desire to leave Alan Christofferson's world while there were still Miles to Go (whoops--that was Book #2!!).

I highly recommend this book, but even more, I recommend reading/listening to the series in order. Enjoy--

The Journey Continues.

Sometimes a story theme weakens as the series continues and by the time you reach book three or four you lose interest. This is not the case in the series "The Walk" by Richard Paul Evans. The journey continues across country with new twists and turns as Alan Christoffersen meets a new challenge head on . I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
Of course the narration is excellent as the Author is the best one to read his own work with all the emotion and voice inflection needed to carry the story.
