The AI narration is awful. Poor and inconsistent pronunciation. Frustrating to listen to, and very redundant.

The AI narration is awful.

I’m a medical professional (PA) and had to force myself to get through this book due to monotony and mispronunciation. The AI voice has very little inflection, and sooooooooo many words and abbreviations were pronounced incorrectly. This drove me crazy! I can’t imagine a person without a medical background could understand everything going on, and my assumption is the author didn’t bother to listen, or else he would have been appalled!

Virtual voice is AWFUL!

This was an informative and interesting book, However, the narration is computerized, resulting in every word being pronounced as it is spelled, not as it is used. In a book dealing with the medical profession, that severely negates the ability to understand what is written. There is a place for AI narration, but in certain genres it is not. This book is an unfortunate example.

Well written book, but terrible pronunciation using computerized narration.

I dislike AI read books. While the things that trip up the “reader” are sometimes amusing, it gets old.
One of the additional books included was painful detail of labs/diagnostic testing that I think you would have to be pretty desperate to actually listen to that section.
It was free. Im glad it was.

It is pretty good for a free book when you have long hours to drive

I enjoyed the variety of stories, including the more rare illnesses interjected inside the compilation. What made me crazy was the virtual narration who was flat, boring and constantly mispronounced words. Coming from the medical field, that drove me crazy! If the stories had t been so interesting, I would’ve stopped listening. No more virtual narration!!

Great stories, enjoyed variety
