New to contracting and contemplating tradesmen

This book thoroughly goes over every aspect that you need to consider for those thinking about becoming a contractor and helps new contractors cover their bases. I like the details that the narrator goes into on each and every subject he doesn’t miss a beat. I would recommend this book to new contractors and contemplating tradesmen, this thinking about becoming a contractor or going into business for themselves. I’ve been in business for myself doing home remodeling for quite some time now and I love the pick up new reads. This was a good one.

Great practical advice

As a contractor with many years of experience I read this book just to see if there were things I had missed along the way and I really enjoy the authors perspective. I especially like how he ventures in to taking care of your own retirement and some financial advice that is definitely overlooked by many in the field. I don’t run my business exactly like he suggests but he offers a lot of really good advice for getting started, and it was really funny when he was talking about all the schools in his New York apartment, because my house looks very similar haha😂

head trash around money

there's a few nuggets in here around how to write up a contract and what mistakes to avoid when bidding jobs. it seems the author haves some self-limiting beliefs around money and the ability to thrive as a small business coming out of the gate. I didn't get much out of this book.
