Poor recording
This book has a good strong storyline and good characters. However it was spoiled by the poor recording. There are a few places that has a loud noise that was unexpected and it was hard to hear the narrator on a few chapters. Christy done a great job with the narration but the recording could of been so much better. Unfortunately this let the whole experience down.

I am not into romance, but…
Like most books this book can also be put into more than one genre. It has mothers who abandon their children coming back boyfriend that shouldn’t come back trying to come back robbers it has it all. I really enjoyed this book. When I first started reading LGBT (I think that it’s the initials!) I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to identify with the characters, but I should have known better. Who can identify with wanting to be loved and excepted by those we feel closest to or want to be close to. The emotions we feel or a part of the human condition so anyone who loves love will love this book. I don’t even like romance stories and I loved it!

Nice story but not very good narration
The narration on this one seemed rushed and I found it difficult to remain engaged in the story. The narrator was not very emotive and it really felt like someone just reading the words aloud. It also didn't help that two of the characters were Macy and Maisy which sound almost identical when spoken.

Tragic and heartwarming
This is a story of friendship, responsibility, love, integrity, spirituality, and above all compassion. The journey that Macy and Mazy have and the people involved with them are amazing and realistic. This is such a real book that it was a gift to listen to. Christy Sassmen's narration is soothing and at times comforting which is a common theme in this story. This is a good afternoon listen.

Starting Again
This book had a lot of potential but there were some big flaws that didn’t help. Had the narration been a bit better it could have push it up, instead it brought it down. The character names were too similar to distinguish at times and made it a bit confusing. The narration while read at a good pace, seemed not to pause at the proper stops so it was hard to take it all in.

Nice Starting Again Story 💜💜
I enjoyed listening to this story written by Nicole Higginbotham-Hogue, about two women who were starting again. One woman was starting over after a loss of a husband and then boyfriend relationship that had been off and on. And, another young woman who was starting a new. Her best friend had died and left custody of his three-year-old daughter to adopt.
So it's told the story of the ins-and-outs of their daily interactions and what they had become to one another. It showed that through familiarity of likes & some dislikes, they could lean on each other and be there for each other, that their relationship formed and they fell in love.
I wasn't familiar with the narrator Christy Sussmen work before, but she did a good job on the narration.
I have to say, I would recommend this story to others, especially if someone needs
a little pick-me-up, if you're starting over or starting
AGAIN!!!👭

I was disappointed.
I've stopped listening. I got to chapter 7 and couldn't carry on. The narrattor wasn't doing it for me and the names of one of the characters and her daughter were identical which was confusing. When the narrattor was doing the voices of the characters the story was better. But when the narrattor was doing mc it was like she was reading the phone book with no full stops in. I'm gonna just read the book.

First time listening to this Author. Was a beautiful story of starting over and trying something new.
Unfortunately the narration fell short. This is the first time I listened to this narrator. There is a lot of production errors. I will give this narrator another chance in a few years.
