Publisher's Summary

Hi there, my name is Joey. Today I'm just another 30-something-year-old guy, living the suburban dream in southern California. But there's something my neighbors don't know about me. Something you'd never guess about me. Something, that up until these past couple of weeks, I'd never dream about telling you. Something you wouldn't believe.

I was, in the most horrific of manners, and by the most unlikely of people, sexually abused as a child.

Not shocked? Well, wait until you hear the full story.

Warning: This book is based upon a true story of child abuse, and as such contains passages that some listeners may find disturbing.

Incredulous and unbelievable.

more like an immature adventure story that he used abuse as a segway to the action adventure STORY. what a waste of time and insulting to true victims of abuse.

Dont Waste Your Money

Not sure if that was a non-fictional story. It read like a B movie. I sympathize with the victim if this story is real. "The Most Shocking Child Abuse True Story." I don't think so.

It is nothing like what was promised!

I got nothing from this, as I expected. This was hardly the worst case of child abuse. I've heard things and seen things on the news that makes this sound like a child's book. I'm asking for a credit refund.

Great story!

I loved the story and was shocked at the ending. I can't believe the life that poor child had.

This story had several triggers for me as a survivor of child abuse. The connections that the therapist made with "joey" mirrored some of my own therapy outcomes. Idk why I picked this story of abuse to read, it's my first and last. I learned that I need reading to be a peaceful time of enjoyment, not a trip down a scary memory lane.

Misleading description

Im not saying its not horrible what happened to the boy but getting a finger up his bum once is hardly the most shocking child abuse story ever.
All in all a very boring book

Staggering

Almost unbelievable that something like this could happen. So shocking. Great listen though; gripping stuff and an interesting twist.
