During a road trip with his two best friends, high school senior David Stone meets Amesemi, the girl of his dreams. Everything is just perfect until the sky turns black. David’s not sure if it’s an attack or a vision, but he sees living darkness around them, consuming them, and then nothing. They wake up miles away with no sign of Amesemi, a bloody handprint on David’s chest, and the inability to account for the past twenty-five hours.
