another awesome book by an amazing man

I loved all of the money intellectual thought experiments that he presented and I just genuinely enjoy the way he reads his own writing.

Neil deGrasse Tyson does it again

This book is such a wonderful love letter to knowing and understanding our place in the universe, spoken with care and compassion to all humans. Once again, his insights and simple explanations and visualizations make me awe at life and all its wonders. I’m always fascinated by his ways of igniting passion in the human imagination to go beyond our biological predispositions to act on biases and instincts to grow beyond our “programming”. Love this book so much, and will recommend it to everyone I can.

Of only more people would consider the points the author makes about the human existence. Great book !

The author does a wonderful job of loosening our believes/prejudices and perspectives to encourage us to rise above our petty singular lives… and to see the common humanity in all of us.

loved this book so much. Neil is the only one who she read his books. Always making sense, driving me nuts.

I see what you did there.

I really like the author but at times it seemed as though the narrator was implying more that what was intended. Overall it was a humbling experience.

Great for teenagers and young 20 somethings to open their minds

Thanks to being exposed to Neil's earlier works when I was younger, much of what Neil talks about in this book isn't necessarily too profound or groundbreaking. As one becomes more exposed to the cosmic perspective, the takes on topics he discusses stay for the most part at the high school level of technicality and serve more as a comforting and entertaining background than a revelation. That may not be the case for younger people in their earlier stages of exploring the Universe, the Earth, life, and themselves. Neil's book provides great food for thought for them and could certainly spark their curiosity and gratitude much like Neil did for me once upon a time.

The fact that logic is the logical solution

I absolutely loved this book.I greatly enjoy the way things are explained and the progression of each century was informative and thought provoking. I enjoyed how points were explained and everything was easy to understand . Overall this book was interesting, thought provoking, and a look at us all collectively.

It was less science based and more “this would make it a better world.” I don’t disagree, but it wasn’t what I was expecting by any means.
