A thrilling conclusion to Phase 2

Could not pause this reading session! Absolutely love everything that happens with the main characters. Those arcs are the highlights for sure, I can't stop thinking about them.
I still have questions that I hope we'll get further on, but I still feel this (along with Cataclysm) wrapped the phase well, loved seeing the different points of views for the same events.

In conclusion, Cavan Scott never disappoints! This phase is definitely my favorite so far (I really want more of these characters, gonna miss them a lot!)

The narration was very good but I would have preferred they kept the same one as Path of Deceit, Erin Yvette. Just for the sake of continuity! But it was worth the wait anyway. I really hope the audiobook delays don't keep happening.

Excellent conclusion.

My only complaint is the official description of this book is terrible. It will be very interesting to see how the remnants of The Path morph into the Nihil.

Heck yeah!

As inconsistent as phase 2 was, it went out with a bang! By far the best High Republic book in a very long time, Scott continues to show why he is one of the best authors working in Star Wars.

Loved the structure and the way it jumped characters. Love the twists and turns of this one.

Pretty Good Conclusion!

A pretty good way to finish up what was started in Path of Decit. I enjoyed the saga throughout all the books. Although these characters were not my favorites to follow along with, understanding their tale has made me more invested in how well they can connect Phases 1 & 3 back to this story 150 years in the making.

A fantastic story!

Loved these books! A fantastic examination into cults, cult behavior, and how these things trend toward and support extremism.

It’s ok overall. Not my favorite

Cataclysm was so good and I was expecting this to pick up where that left off. It didn’t. That took a bit to get used too. It almost feels like this story should have been included In that and that book just be longer. As others have mentioned, the reader isn’t great so it’s hard to tell if I would have enjoyed it more with Marc Thompson reading it. He’s amazing! This story does have some great moments but overall feels a bit disconnected from cataclysm where that story seemed to pick up right from where battle of jedha left off.

A disappointing tale after what came before

Marc Thompson and less childish conversations would have gone a long way. The focus on the two women prior to the events of the battle was a letdown. Time that could have been spent building up to phase 1 was wasted on silly moments. Maybe I wasn't the target audience for this one, but I wasn't a fan. One of the characters, Marda, is only important because she shares the name of someone else.

Solid end

Solid enough end to the second phase of the High Republic, but I do feel like they could have expanded a bit more on the actual foundation of the Nihil.
