LOVE IT

Tilly was already one of my favorites, this book strengthened that enjoyment of her character.

Narrator!

January LaVoy is an incredible narrator. She is the best narrator I have ever heard. Story is great for understanding and appreciating Tilly's character on the show. I like Tilly on the show but feel a deeper relationship with the character now. The Captain and Tilley's father were engaging and likable characters, would love to see them on the show, although after season 2 finale that seems unlikely now.

Not you typical Star Trek story

I wasn't sure what to expect after first chapter but I stuck with it and it was a good story and you learn a lot about Tilly. Very good voice performance!

All about Tilly

Great voice acting, lovely coming of age story if you want to know how Sylvia Tilly got to Starfleet. It's fun to hear what life is like growing up how she did.

Absolutely Wonderful!! What a Surprise!!

If you even remotely like Tilly, you’ll really love this audiobook!! I was recently listening to the podcast, Literary Treks and heard an interview with the author, Una McCormack. Great story, with tons of background on Tilly and her upbringing, her family, schooling, travels, friends, etc. Amazingly, almost no real Starfleet action until the last 1/3 or so of the book but surprisingly, that made me want the first 2/3 of the book to continue! I’m a son, a father and a grandpa and this book spoke to all three of “me”!! The vocal performance by January Lavoy was truly spectacular!

I hope to find more pairings by these two wonderful artists in the near future.

Best One Yet

I am loving these books. The back story on Tilly helps to really give a complete picture of who she is. As a series favorite on the program her story could not have been more eloquently told. January does an excellent job with the narration. This will be one I will listen to several times.

To Know Tilly, Listen to this Book!

This is a must listen if you are at all interested in what makes Tilly, well, Tilly. Her life before Starfleet, her mother, and what she endured before finding her true calling in life. In other words, her tribe. Wonderfully written and read this is now a favorite of mine.

The background that is needed. Great story that keeps you wondering how it will turn out.

The incomparable Miss Tilley

I fell in love with Tilley on Discovery and look forward to learning more of her adventures. This insight into her beginnings made me care even more, very heartfelt. We all need a Tilley in our life, the universe would be a better place. Great narrative by the way!
