Publisher's summary

Start as a RECRUIT...become a SUPER-SOLDIER...end up a GALACTIC WARLORD.

Don your armor, load up on ammo, and get ready for your combat training. You don't become a badass by signing on the dotted line, you gotta earn it the hard way...same goes for your team. You have to learn to fight, how to work together, and how to lose...for the ancient origins of humanity on Earth are dark, devastating, and destined to return. Earth is going to lose, and lose badly when our time is up, but out of the ashes of defeat, we may be able to scrounge up a future if you and the other future warlords can learn how to overcome the losses and turn them to our advantage.

And the one advantage we have is the repository of ancient knowledge left behind when our former masters abandoned Earth during a civil war. They assume everyone died, but a few human slaves remained and now we live only because of that mistake.

But they didn't just make one. Their second was leaving the most heavily defended and valuable building on the planet intact because destroying it along with the others when they bugged out would be too time-consuming. Instead, they buried it and now we have limited access to the advanced technology and database inside. From it we know the truth about our ancestry, as well as the superhuman powers they laced into our genome...and because of those powers, any human not under their direct control carries with them an automatic death sentence.

So when we're found out, we're all going to die...unless you and your team can grow into the war leaders we need, figure out how to use the ancient technology as well as those who created it, and find a way to do the impossible and overcome a galactic empire millions of years old. An empire known as the V'kit'no'sat, which Earth hilariously misinterpreted as a group of extinct animals called the Dinosaurs.

Double talk

I absolutely love this series and world

There are a number of double talk (you can tell that the narrators took a break and did not restart at the right)

Again I love the story

great story, worst narrator ever!!!

As always the storyline was excellent. The narrator though, was the absolute worst. His lack of inflection, gross mispronunciation, and constant slurring speech was so annoying I almost skipped this whole set. Narrator sounded intoxicated and his tendency to whistle his "S" pronunciation throughout was massively distracting. Will not choose this narrator again.

The Lizards’ new tactics and Star Force is growing…

Okay, first off… I agree that the narrator isn’t that great. His range of voices is pretty limited. But I am still glad I got this and will still listen to it again when I go back through this series again in a year or few.

The book itself was pretty good. With the first half or so, the first two episodes, allows us to see the momentous showdown over the former Calavari Capitol. But the Lizards are at it again and even with several Trailblazers taking part of the massive operation with several fleets and a few different races under the Star Force banner. The poor Bsidd get bloodied and experience how bad war can suddenly become…
But victory wasn’t in doubt. Jyr bringing back Bronzer, a Calavari that survived the fall of the original empire and not only joined Star Force but excelling beyond any of his fellow Calavari. It was so awesome that not only did he live through the 400 years since the betrayal of the Nestafar but now he got to return to his people’s former home-world. Victorious! And the Star Force Calavari won’t let it fall again. And they were going to make sure it would become a major hub in the empire!
The next two episodes was a lot of fun! With a surprise new Archon. Then a massive shift into Star Force as a whole! One that will inspire the Trailblazers and their Clans to reach even greater heights of pure epic bossomness!
Lastly, the last episode which is also one of my favorites… Davis and Wilson are at it again with throwing the Trailblazers a curveball… it happens to be the size of a beach ball… oh, did k mention that it is on fire…? Haha!
It’s time for the Mages and the newest ranking, to be challenged all the more with even greater trials. Ones that would kill an Adept and maybe an Acolyte as well. Davis doesn’t think the Mages are being challenged enough. So, naturally, the Trailblazers just respond with “bring it on!”

Great book horrible narrative

I have listened to many many books on here I do believe this is the worst narrator I have ever heard. Takes a great story and makes it monotone. Put me to sleep listening to this one.
