Publisher's summary

An alien assassin. A tempting human female he can’t resist. Will she allow a killer to claim her?

Avery Watson moved to Denver to escape her controlling mother. Sure, it's not easy, and she has to budget every penny, but her new friends don’t care if she doesn’t wear makeup, don’t glare at her if she laughs too loud or snorts. For the first time, she’s content.

But then she meets Hunter Coleman.

This powerful, mysterious man isn’t the sort that small, freckled, awkward women like Avery usually attract. His intense eyes follow her every move. She should be worried, but he makes her feel safe. He makes her feel…wanted.

Yet Hunter is even more dangerous than he seems...and he’s not a man at all. He’s everything Avery should fear—he’s everything she desires. And he’ll stop at nothing to make her his lifemate.

There’s just one problem—he’s not the only one targeting her, and his rivals don’t have Avery’s best interests in mind.

Enjoyed

I enjoyed it very much! The reader was fantastic and I enjoy the author's work. However there were a few parts where the reader's first take wasn't removed and that was a bit... not wonderful.

Conflicted

Because I do enjoy the story overall but I really really hate the heroine. Avery gets on my nerves and has quite a few TSTL moments.

Better than the first book

I liked this story a lot more than the first book and I didn't mind either of the main characters. The FMC was a bit dumb at times and I thought they both sorta jumped into bed without any experience rather easily, but it is sci-fi romance after all. There was good romance, hot steam, and solid action so it was a successful book.

In general, I have a love/hate relationship with Tiffany Roberts writing style. Sometimes they get too detailed and it draws the scene out unnecessarily, but it isn't to the point of boredom so it's ok. This is just a preference thing for me of wanting more show than tell at times.

I really like Zachary Zaba as a narrator and I know if he is narrating that I won't be distracted or confused by which character is which so it makes the story more engrossing.

Funny and Adorable

Who doesn't like it when the alien has to learn all the weird human things, the cute 'met in a diner' trope, and an interstellar assassin who is good at stalking? I really enjoyed this book though I thought the performance was alright but could have been better. Overall very fun, lots of cute moments, but also spicy too.

The rom-com I didn’t know I needed

Seriously where do I start, I’m an avid reader ( psychical and audio books ) with over 400 audio books in my audio, I can’t name even one that has made me crack up like this one. Multiple funny moments, action packed, drama and romance all in one?! This book sent me on a journey and it really wraps you into this world. I had to cross check with the others because this one is a lot longer than the others in this series, and now I see why.

Don’t walk, run!
