I love all the Joe Gunther books, terrible reader

The reader of this title is TERRIBLE!!! I mean TERRIBLE completely ruined the series. The fake voices for characters was just atrocious!!! Brin back Tom Taylorson

Enough of Gale Zigman and apologetic Joe

This book was way over the top with Gail Zigman and the women in general. Joe is always so in touch with his feminine side when he's dealing with women, it's a wonder he's not wearing a man bun and Birkenstocks. Gail has always been a self-serving, martyr and unappealing woman in any respect but I could hardly finish this one. Plus why are the cops always one step behind in all these books.
Willie where is this growth we were going to see from him? He's still the same as nasty mouth character, he's always been. I also feel that the sexual details are really getting a bit out of hand, almost voyeurism since Mayor went to third person, as you can tell not a fan of this book in general, I kind of think I need a break from the series.

The new reader was hard to follow. I had a hard time differentiating between the voices.

Narrator change

Not just different, but not very good. I wanted to continue with the series so I stuck with it. Will not read the next book if he’s used again

Ugh, the narrator…

First off, I love this series! I love Tom Taylorson reading to me. I barely finished this book due to the cartoon like narration. It’s painful. I wasn’t going to leave a review, but just got to book 19, The Catch, and the Graybil is back at it. Why????

Couldn’t get with the change in readers. Not Joe.

I couldn’t get past the different readers. Didn’t sound like the characters after having listened to all the other books.

Almost decided to skip. Spoiler alert in 2nd para

Hated the narrator. He can't do men, did pretty good with women. He did improve, or I didn't notice him as much as the story went on.
Glad I did finish because I'm so happy to see the backside of that whiny girlfriend. Now Joe can get on with having a good life.

I loose interest when I can't get into it

I loose interest when I can't get into the story. The readers didn't do this book justice and I probably would have done better just reading it myself.

narrator switch!

I love the whole series, the writing is phenomenal and engaging from the first book. but, this specific book has a narration that I just suffered through. it was like calling up a great friend only to have a new voice answer the phone. It was bad enough that I looked forward in the series to see if Tom Taylorson was coming back, if not I was done with the series and looking for the paperback versions. the whole cast of characters sounded like an episode of American Dad, it was brutal. but the writing kept me engaged. I needed to know if there were any major plot carryover until the next book that I didn't want to miss.

Did not finish this one. The new narrator got on my nerves. Didn’t like the grouch voices he used.

The story line just kept dragging on and the narrator was irritating. Maybe I have gotten tired of reading about Joe Gunther.
