Rubbish. Unresearched rubbish.

I have never returned a book on Audible. I will be returning this one. Having listened as far as Chapter 3 it is clear that the work is very old - what is a "fax machine" of which the author writes?! and relies on little, if any, research. It appears that almost all your spy accoutrement can be purchased from "the Spy Shop". So much so that I began to believe this was a shill for the establishment. Maybe it gets better towards the end. Perhaps the author actually does some research later on, but based on the first three chapters, the publication is not worth your time never mind your money. Generalities, waffle about James Bond (apparently he is better known as 007 - who knew?) and negligible detail. Complete rubbish -embarrassingly bad content.

Oh and having punted a well know Japanese electronics brand (I won't embarrass the brand by mentioning them by name), for their high quality, perhaps the producers should have used some of the said brand's fine equipment to record the narrator - the hiss on the recording is reminiscent of a medieval snake pit. Rubbish.

Spend your time elsewhere - watch paint dry perhaps. Spend your money elsewhere - consider making a donation to a charity or simply burning the cash.

Audible, I expect better. This reflects on your organisation as well as the fine authors who put considerable effort into their work.

Rubbish, absolute rubbish.
