THE BEST!

My first book on football in my mid to late thirties! I did everything my man suggested, and now the book is elementary! My knowledge and love for the game has deepened! An absolute GO TO if you want to learn football. Great book for kids!

Enjoyable

This book was very enjoyable. Mr. Hicks did an excellent job in reading the book and keeping my attention. I do wish that he had gone a bit more in-depth into each of the positions and their function. Otherwise, I think that the book met and delivered upon the stated objectives.

Wonderful Review of Basics

I had a cursory knowledge of football and this book started from the very beginning and explained all the essentials. Reinforced what I already knew and explaining some areas that I didn't quite understand. Author also recommended what to read next.

less side stories

What could Jack Hicks have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Stick to the details and get a little further into the characteristics of the game

How could the performance have been better?

less anecdotal commentary

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

probably work for someone that has never seen a football game and doesn't want to learn anything beyond the absolute basics
