Good Overall. Very detailed

The only knock on this book is the organization. It jumps around chronologically. Beginning in early life then flashing to more present times and back. Other than that this was a very entertaining well put together book! Especially for coaches!

Good for NFL Junky

The narrator is good.

The detail in the book is very good. Touches on the details of Belichick's upbringing as a coach's son and how it influenced him. The bottom line, this dude is obsessed with football and it is his passion. How great that Belichick gets to do what loves.

You also get detail on the Cleveland Brown disaster, the Bledsoe controversy, NY Giant Super Bowls, and the Parcell relationship.

Note, this book was published in 2005, after the 2004 Super Bowl win versus Philadelphia. There have been playoff loses, deflate-gate, Aaron Hernandez, Gronk, Almost Perfect Season, many coaching changes, Super Bowl loses, and losing Brady for a season in 2008.

So, the good news is that the events after the book was written show that Belichick is as good as the book explains.

GOAT

I have been a Steelers fan since the 70s, so it brings no joy to me when I say, "Coach Belichick is the GOAT." As a fan of "winners" I admire his ways.

Great read about a great coach

I thought the book was well researched and insightful. The performance was also solid and matched well with the subject.

Perfect. Whit and wisdom, knowledge and power.....

Loved it! Football, teaching, history, above all an American story of our sports greatest coach and where he came from....
