Some players have decided to simply not train mentally or simply ignore it which is a big mistake. It is said that winning in tennis is 80 - 90 % MENTAL! Just take into account that key points in a tennis match such as match point, game point, break points, and set points, are all crucial situations that can decide the outcome of any particular competition. The author describes, in plain English, why this is true and how anyone can play “out of his or her mind.” This audiobook is a must-hear if you want to raise your tennis game to a height you never dreamed possible.

This audio was very well narrated and every minute is full of useful tips and strategies for getting better at Tennis. The nutrition section really helped me a lot along with some of the exercises and training techniques. But what really improved my game was the section on the serve. My serves are much harder now and much more accurate. The audio breaks down every part of the serve and after listening to it several times and with a lot of practice my serve is much better. Even my friend noticed the difference the last time we played and I beat him. I would definitely recommend this audio to anyone who wants to be a better tennis player.

In high school, I was on the varsity tennis team for two years. The only reason I was on varsity was because we had no JV team; that was the low interest in tennis. So I earned letters, so to speak, but I never really got very good at tennis.
This book is a pretty comprehensive look at tennis and how to improve your game. It talks about everything from nutrition to racket grip to keeping up overall fitness and mentally preparing to play. Two things I found most helpful: 1) The discussion of grip. My tennis coach was always harping at us about our grip; tennis rackets are a funny thing, and if you hold them wrong, it can throw off your whole game. People don't realize this, and it's good that the book brings it up. 2) Mental preparedness. I get nervous when I play sports, and tennis is so focused on the individual athlete that nerves can get the better of you. You're not on a field with 10 teammates; you're alone, and everyone is watching you. This book has good tips for controlling your nerves and staying focused. Recommended.

Tennis is a great game in that it even helps you keep fit. Nutritional strategy as discussed in this book is very important. You get to learn what to eat and what not to eat hence you end up healthy and play better. Eat three meals a day and snack. I was so bad in getting the grip but after listening to this audio,am really improving. I intend to practice this strategies until I get to the national team. I highly recommend!

While an Agassi or a Williams sister might say "duh" to these instructions, the rest of us find this book a solid treatment of just what we need in order to grow in our tennis skills and our knowledge of the game. From choosing a racket to setting up a blistering serve, I found this book very helpful indeed. I'll be returning to it for more pointers soon.

Tennis is a great game. It's good for your body and your mind, boosting your health and your self-esteem. Even if you don't play tennis well, the game is benefiting you. But we all know it doesn't do any good to play a game you want to be good at but you aren't very good at. So this book helps you boost those skills so that you are both enjoying the game and making yourself feel better both mentally and physically. A good game of tennis can make you feel worlds better! This book will help you get better at the game so you have more fun playing.

Tennis is a tough sport to play. McCloud shows that it requires the right strategies to improve. He offers useful exercises and nutritional tips that can help anyone play at his or her best. He even explains useful grips and stances to help maximize your game. This is great for tennis players at any skill level!
This is a great book for those who want to play tennis and be good at it. There are training exercises, regular exercises, and nutrition information that is covered in great detail by Mr. McCloud, and all should be followed if you want to be great like say, Venus Williams or colin Federer. Or if you just want to be able to beat your tennis-playing friends.
I remember having to play tennis in gym class and not being able to hit the ball very well. I got worn out quite easily, too. Wish I had the tips from this book to follow back then.

I played Tennis when I was young, and I wasn't to bad at it. I even had a teacher. The one problem I always had was hitting that ball with the backhand. No matter how much I practiced, I couldn't get it right. Maybe now that I am older, and with some of the strategies I learned in Ace's book, I could try again. Who knows? I might do better this time.
I recently started playing tennis because it's a great way to socialise with clients at work. I've always been fairly sporty so I picked up the basics pretty quickly but I needed a quick way to develop a deeper understanding of the game.
This book did exactly that! It provided me with loads of quick and easy ways to improve my game, from changing my grip to developing my serve. I'm still by no means a pro but I can definitely compete with my experienced clients thanks to this book!! I couldn't recommend it more!

In the Philippines where I previously lived, people are not really that fond of playing tennis including me. It is a rich man’s sport, in my opinion. When I got here in the UK, I found a lot of things that are so different the first time I came over. One of those things is that quite a few people play tennis around here and that includes my fiancé. When I came across this book as I was searching for audio books on Amazon, I decided to give it a try.
After I finished listening to this book, it gave me better understanding of what the sport is all about and it gave me a lot of useful tips on how to play it right. Although I’m not really that into sports, my fiancé is, and he is pretty good at it. Now that I have better idea about the sport, talking about it has now been our way of bonding and it is really fulfilling.

I am a big tennis fan, I get super excited when summer comes around because of all of the tennis championships and it always inspires me to play. I’ve decided this summer to really go for it and play as much as possible and so I bought this guide to give me some helpful pointers to help me improve my game. I found this guide to be a lot more thorough than I thought it would be. It runs through diet and exercise, how to grip and hold the racket for successful shots, how to develop mental stamina and tennis strategies. I really enjoyed this book and will be listening to it quite a few times over the summer I think.

What made the experience of listening to Tennis Strategies: The Top 100 Best Things That You Can Do to Greatly Improve Your Tennis Game the most enjoyable?
"Tennis" is very detailed and vivid presentation that helps you to visualize how proper shoot looks like, what should be your position, swing and spinning of the ball.
What other book might you compare Tennis Strategies: The Top 100 Best Things That You Can Do to Greatly Improve Your Tennis Game to, and why?
I can compare "Tennis" to "Basketball" and "Baseball" by Ace McCloud. All audiobooks present a great nutrition guide, self-motivation strategy and example of on and off seasons training. They are also based on very technically and professional advises provided by different sources.
Which scene did you most enjoy?
I like the most the presentation about different kind of grips. The type of grips depends on how your index knuckle and heed pad keeping the rocket. If you serve you can hold your racket continental grip that seems ideal for beginners. The next also easy serve is forehand, that seems natural, when you hit the ball from the bottom to the top. For me the most difficult looks backhand because you have to use more technique and physically strength. The very supportive can be using both hands, the serve looks very effective.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
McCloud explain the difference between double and single play. The double is more difficult and depend on greater practice and better control of the ball, spinning and distance from your opponent and your partner as well. I like also the link to video where the best tennis players perform their style of game. I like the best Serena Williams performance.
Any additional comments?
Great nutrition advice, self-motivation tips and training proposition for season and off-seasons make “Tennis” very competent and complex guide. Very enthusiastic audiobook that encourage you to start learn tennis as a wonderful and passionate game.
