Publisher's summary

In Knowledge in a Nutshell, you'll find out about the U.S. state that no longer exists; why hamburgers are called hamburgers, even though there's no ham in them; who was the youngest U.S. President (it wasn't John F. Kennedy); what were the biggest animals who ever lived (it wasn't the dinosaurs), and much more.

Knowledge in a Nutshell on Sports has over 500 amazing, astounding fun facts: a treasure chest for trivia buffs. Do you know about the big league batter who caught his own home run? Why a golf course has eighteen holes? This book not only gives you the facts but the anecdotes behind the facts. Reichblum collected these facts and anecdotes during his 50 year career as a radio sports announcer where he earned the title "Dr. Knowledge".

Good Trivia Knowledge

If you're a fan of things like trivia pursuit, you'll like this book. It's not very engaging or narrative though so it's impossible to stay focused on listening but if you let yourself daydream a little and just pick up facts here and there as you're listening, it is interesting. I tend to doubt some of the accuracies though.. so take it with a grain of salt.

Better as you get used to it.

Would you listen to Knowledge in a Nutshell & Knowledge in a Nutshell on Sports again? Why?

I like history and interesting true stories. I was a little nervous at first when I first started listening to this book, but once I settled in and really starting getting used to the format, this book is great. I highly recommend this if you want to learn some interesting facts and very short stories.
