At least I'm part of a team. I'm making friends. I'm—finding out secrets about my past that are hard to handle.

But my emotional scars will have to wait until after we deal with the monsters. Especially those with human faces.

Really good!

Very unique take on the otherworldly. Ruby is a fun character and I really enjoy the smart aleck in her. The bird make the book just that much more😂

Okay story

For the most part I enjoyed this story. I found there was too much swearing. I have no objection to swearing but here it seemed to take the place of witty banter. If some of the swearing could be replaced with diolog it would improve the book.
