Good story, bad tech

I have enjoyed the story. It’s an old friendship finding yourself type and not very deep so you can work on things while listening.
The explanation of how the tech works is bad. The author is clearly a basic end user with no real technical knowledge.
I would recommend the author look up bandwidth and latency or just run his tech ideas past a sysadmin.

“Never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of tapes hurtling down the highway”- Andrew S Tannenbaum
