Publisher's Summary

“From a little spark may burst a flame.” (Dante Alighieri)

A simple ember to dried kindling can ignite a raging fire.

I’ve made my mark and proven my loyalty to a man, a city, and a way of life. That loyalty has provided me with all the spoils of success. For the longest time, that hasn’t included a woman at my side.

There is only one beauty that can bring my untapped desire to life. I shouldn’t have opened the door. Cracking open the stone and striking the flint is my doing. What follows is hers.

With something so intense, will this spark lead to a blazing inferno? Will we make it out of the ashes before everything I hold dear is ravaged?

From New York Times best-selling author Aleatha Romig comes a brand-new dark romance, Spark, set in the same dangerous world as Secrets and Twisted. You do not need to listen to the Web of Sin or Tangled Web trilogy to get caught up in this new and intriguing saga, Web of Desire.

Spark is book one of the Web of Desire trilogy that continues in Flame and concludes in Ashes. Have you been Aleatha’d?

I am Aleatha’d!

Wow, I have to say Aleatha was holding the winning hand in this story. It has the the right amount of mystery and suspense to hold you captivated from beginning to end. Plus there is a twist at the end of this cliffhanger that will Spark your interest and bring you back for the next intriguing installment can’t wait to see what to see what Patrick does with that reveal.
Noah & Savannah did a fantastic job narrating this story.

Aleatha Romig’s dark, second-chance romance is an interesting look into Patrick and Madeleine’s romantic entanglement. The mystery behind Madeleine’s choices weren’t revealed until the end of the book (cliffhanger alert) which I expected but still didn’t like. However, the situation is just captivating and suspenseful enough to make you want to know more! With that being said, I loved Savannah Peachwood’s narration!🥰😍She was PHENOMENAL and really expressive throughout the storyline! Noah Michael Levine’s narrative left something to be desired because he was dry and expressionless throughout the story! I would have enjoyed it more with a different male narrator.

Spark

I enjoyed Patrick & Madeline’s story; a second chance romance. The dark underground world the Sparrow world is set in is interesting and full of secrets. I can’t wait for the next two books to see how their story is going.

5 This Web Has SO MANY Secrets Stars!!

Noah and Savannah once again have knocked it out of the part with their narration. I LOVE listening to Ms. Romig's books after I've read them and her choice of narrators is one the biggest reasons why!

GAHHHHH We finally have Patrick’s story and what an incredible start to this trilogy. I started this book and became immediately obsessed with finding out what would happen next!!

Patrick and Maddie have quite a history and their start pretty much brought tears to my eyes and when they next meet several years later, there’s so much to be discovered about both of them! What cannot be denied is the chemistry that is simmering between them even after all these years.

Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen, we get another surprise and it’s all revolving around a high stakes poker tournament and there’s hand after hand that is played and surprises around every deal of the cards it seems.

There’s a sense of tension in so many ways in this book. It’s clear Maddie has things she wants to tell Patrick but something or someone is holding her back. She also must win this poker tournament and let me tell you when the why of this comes out, you’ll be sitting there with your mouth hanging open because WHAT THE HECK!? Was NOT expecting that!!

Ms. Romig has me completely and unequivocally invested in this couple and we’re back in the Sparrow world and it’s just as fabulous as I remember it being. And I’m getting to see actions and events from a different perspective than what we’ve read previously. I swear I’ve been Aleatha’d like never before!!!

Now bring on Flame!!

The male narrator ruined it for me

Poor choice of male narration for this book. The two don't meld well together and I couldn't get past the first chapter!

This was so good I was I knots

I haven't enjoyed a book this much since Jordan Marie's Beast and that series. I was so emotional at times. I felt her fear, I knew there was something that kept her from just leaving. I just ready until very close to the end I figured it out. OMG Great job Aletha Roming

Can’t wait for the next part ...

Intriguing story.
Maddy returns to the city she left decades ago to play in a poker tournament. It’s soon clear she isn’t there at free will. What kind of power has the Russian mobster hold over her.
Warning ⚠️: cliffhanger!

Male narrator ruined this book

The male narrator really ruined this book. Storyline was as good as any Aleatha book, but the narrator was terrible 😐
