Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author Michelle M. Pillow....

Mining ash on a remote planet where temperatures reach hellish degrees doesn't leave Kal (aka Spark) much room for dating. Lucky for this hard-working man, a new corporation, Galaxy Alien Mail-Order Brides, is ready to help him find the girl of his dreams. Does it really matter that he lied on his application and really isn’t looking for long-term but rather some fast action?

Earth women better watch out. Things are about to heat up.

Well it could use some work

I’m trying the next book because it’s cheap and short. But this really was quite boring and did not hold my attention. I just ended it and can only tell you that aliens come to America, don’t grasp the language and slang. She gets kidnapped he rescues her and we all live happily ever after. Yeah it needs reworking. This is my honest review and I paid for my copy of this book! It’s not worth a credit and really not worth $ either

Interesting listen

This was definitely a unique perspective into dating 😂
Sick of their job on a remote planet, Kal aka Spark (because it will cause lust in the ladies obviously) is roped into taking a trip to a much more diverse planet with a new corporation called Galaxy Alien Mail Order Brides. It doesn’t matter that he isn’t looking for long term and his friends lied on his application to get him there in the first place. They touch down in Las Vegas where Carrie is stuck playing the doting cousin at a wedding. While dodging her unlucky date Carrie overhears Kal describing a lovely bondage type scene to another woman as a way to win her to his bed. She’s baffled that this hot guy would not only think it’s ok to talk to a woman in that manner but that he actually thinks that’s a way to win her over. She hasn’t got a clue just how different Kal is from regular guys until days later he has tracked her down. A quick and light read/listen.

This book was enjoyable to listen to.

This book was definitely enjoyable to listen to. The interpretation of what the male aliens thought women wanted as so funny.

Humor, Bridezilla, and Danger!

I absolutely adore this author's stories in her Qurilixen World books. All are imbued with so much humor. This one had so many funny moments but also had a bit of drama here and there. While I won't know for sure until I listen to the next two books in the series, I believe the author planted seeds of what could become trouble for these three humanoid aliens from a scorching planet. The funniest thing in the book is what Spark believes is the “human mating dance” from what he's seen of the electronic transmissions from Earth that have gone out into the galaxy. It literally did have me laughing out loud. I love the chapters from his perspective, as it's amusing to watch him and his two other family members try to figure out Earth culture, how to get by here, and find willing females. The book is definitely spicy, and a few things might make your jaw drop, especially the first time the heroine meets the hero. This audiobook is a lot of fun, and the narrator did an excellent job. I loved how she voiced the other females of the bridal party the heroine was a part of. She certainly made the bridezilla sound like a bridezilla, and her snarky friends had full-on snark. I'm looking forward to listening to the next story about these three bumbling humanoid male relatives as they make their mistakes as they try to find a little romance.

I Liked It

I purchased the ebook some time ago and enjoyed it so i decided to listen to the audio version, I'm glad I did as it lifted an enjoyable story to a higher level.
Kal and his cousins Vin and Sev are from a mining planet where females are rare and the chances of having a family are poor. So Kal signed his cousins and himself up with Galaxy Brides Corporation, never expecting it to be of any use but a least free vacation was worth having. His cousins weren’t too pleased when they learned what he had done but there was no going back. They decide they need earth names so Kal becomes Spark, Vin becomes Flame and Sev becomes Blaze, why I'll never know their original names were better!

They spent the time the trip took trying to learn about the earth females and their mating customs but what they learned was a few hundred years out of date!!

Carrie Peterson went to Vegas for her cousin's wedding but hates everything about it so she is always sneaking off, she hears Spark trying to pick up women using awful lines so when When Kal approaches her, she tells him he is never going to have success with women with his lines and proceeds to fill him in on what he is doing wrong. Later Spark spends two days looking for her and when they meet again, he convinces her to spend some time with him. She's definitely interested, that is until he tells her he is an alien. As you can imagine she thinks he is crazy but is then kidnapped and held for ransom.

The narration by Kylie Stewart is very well done and added to my enjoyment of the story.

Kal and Carrie

Story: Kal (Spark) and his brothers have come to Las Vegas for a vacation courtesy of Galaxy Brides - they're supposed to be looking for mates and giving the company promotional reviews. Carrie is in Las Vegas to be a bridesmaid in her cousin's wedding party. Kal has been trying to convince women to sample his wares, but he's really misinformed about human dating – much of his research seems to have come from porn videos. Needless to say, there’s a bit of humorous miscommunications. Kal and Carrie meet and start exploring their feelings and relationship with one another, but they’ll have to deal with kidnappings, other aliens, and more before they reach their HEA. The story has some funny moments and is a light read. Having read some of the author's later works, I think she's definitely become a much stronger writer since this one was written.

Audio: The narrator did an okay job, though there were some awkward timings and some of the characters voices just didn’t resonate well with me.

Good start

The narrator did a good job distinguishing between characters. The story line was interesting and did a good job setting up the series. I plan to continue to the next book.
