very engaging, not too weird!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, lots of action, and good characters. Believable aliens, although some are a bit outlandish. Why not.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Teardrop is my favorite because he saves the day, but can build a house too.

Have you listened to any of L. J. Ganser’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

He is good. Voices are distinguishable and varied. He does women well and even a young girl.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The loss of some of the main characters was sad. Not as well developed as it could have been--I was sad but didn't cry (read sob my guts out) like when Haldir or Theoden died in LOTR.

Any additional comments?

The main problem with these books is they all end as cliffhangers--very annoying. I thought that this one, as the end of the introductory trilogy would really, you know, end, but it didn't. Dear Mr. McGinnis: your stories are good enough that you can end them and we will still read the next one. Pleeease stop the cliffhanger gimmick!

What was most disappointing about Mark Wayne McGinnis’s story?

I enjoyed one as an interesting premise and a good space opera. Two went down hill, but OK. Here we have the protagonist holding hands before the big battle pledging all for one and one for all. In the middle of the battle he gets a phone call and heads out. Too make matters worse, A "house" drops on the bad guy to save the day. OK a tractor, but even for what this is, it makes no sense.

What three words best describe L. J. Ganser’s performance?

Good voice to bad book.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Space Vengeance?

Most. Too many plot lines are opened without development and results in "magic happens" solutions.

I want a mulligan.

What disappointed you about Space Vengeance?

Like so many sequels this one is not holding together. This one is a comic book without pictures.

What made the experience of listening to Space Vengeance the most enjoyable?

The characters as always. Widget and the Captain being the most fun. Though Molly is up there too.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Obviously Captain Reynolds. Captain Reynolds tries to do the right things but he keeps getting tripped up. The Nanotech cliff hangar from the previous book was done a bit Deus Ex Machina but the whole series is kinda of that way. Its not a bad thing though.

What about L. J. Ganser’s performance did you like?

Mr Ganser does a good job as usual.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Its a good book for a long ride or a trip. Its enjoyable and interesting and keeps you guessing.

If you don't like Cliff Hangars all the books end with them.

fantastic narrator

Very under rated narrator. I have been listening to his stuff for a long time and I can't belive I haven't listed to this series yet. as usual Ganser really brings the books alive.

Just like the Saturday Matinee serials!

This is number three of the series and the plot thickens, the battles are becoming crucial to Earth's existence, the hero's decided to whom he'll deal the love card, and the characters have developed to just that: Characters! It's a fast paced, sleep depriving listen that is truly fun! I recommend it enthusiastically ! To the reviewers who didn't like any of the above, it must have been a really bad day! Narrator Ganser who is one of my favorites, had a few slips, but not enough to disrupt or spoil the listen. I docked him a star for it, maybe a little too harsh.. Bring on #4!!

I would not recommend this book. This one leaves the story in the middle of the action.

If you’ve listened to books by Mark Wayne McGinnis before, how does this one compare?

The first two books in this series I enjoyed and they had a finality to which the story could be extended or not.

Yes, Not buy any more of Mark Wayne McGinnis' books.

I realize that there is a statement in the book listing that goes like this: If you've made it to this third installment, you already realize this is an ongoing series. With that said, more often than not these books have cliff-hanger endings! I happen to feel that the "cliffhanger" part of this one left Way Too Much Out in the middle of the action.
