Excellent, Well-Organized Overview of "NewSpace"

I work in the space industry, and therefore listen to a lot of audio books on space. What I thought Rod did best with this book is to synthesize a ton of material - there is a lot happening in space these days - and make it easy to understand. It was really well organized and flowed well. If you're just trying to find out what's happening in space these days, this is the perfect book for you. It doesn't go into great depth, so if you're looking for something technical on a particular subject of space like propulsion or communication, this isn't that kind of book.

A bright future is dawning...

In Space 2.0, noted Space author/journalist, speaker and Historian Rod Pyle lays out the past, present and potentially bright future of human presence in space. Presented in grounded, global and logical detail, the author discusses the current technical issues to be tackled and solved, world economic considerations, different possibilities and pathways and all in an enthusiastic and enjoyable to listen to writing style. This is a perfect primer and reference for just what Humankind can aspire to in leaving our Earthly cradle and finding our place among the stars. Highly recommended listening.

Fascinating book, good narrator

I enjoyed this book and its interesting and detailed take on the evolution of humanity in space. It gave me insight into some aspects I hadn't considered before. If you're interested in next human steps in space, this is a must read.

One thing that was very annoying in an audio book was the narrator reading what is essentially a reference section. For 20+ minutes, the narrator painfully read a list of organizations, a brief description, and then the physical address, phone number, e-mail address, and web address (each twice). I kept skipping, but it went on, and on, and on. I would have just liked to hear a short description of each group. I can google them from there. I really can't see anyone wanting to listen to all that and then having a pen and paper handy to write down the addresses. A reference like that can be useful in a physical book, but is useless and annoying in an audiobook.

Good book to catch you up on today's space race

Packed with lots of interesting information, but I didn't need the glossary read to me. You can skip the last chapter.

Engaging, Informative and Inspiring

For anyone interested in the near future development of space as an arena for human endeavor, this book is the right pick for you... the writing is tight, the information covered hits all the necessary notes and covers what ought to be covered in a straightforward and engaging format, and Jack de Golia's narration brings it all vividly to life. Highly recommended, for sure

Basically a really long Wikipedia entry

This was barely more informative than 10 minutes on Wikipedia. Tots basically a cliffs notes of the space industry today without any central thesis or argument or anything other than a cursory summary that doesn't contain any information that someone who casually follows SpaceX wouldn't already know.

Insights into the current Space Industry

Excellent overview, but narration was irritating when trying to impersonate voices of those interviewed.
