Cassie Angel is used to taking care of herself. With a spirit of adventure, and a need to stay out of harm's way, she departs a dying Nevada town for the golden opportunities that await in California - along with a new life. When charming Sam Ridgeway shows up, claiming to know her uncle, and offers her protection in her travels, she has no idea there is an ulterior motive involved.

Would you listen to Sourdough Creek again? Why?
Absolutely! The storyline is exciting, interesting and filled with adventure in the old west. It is my favorite genre'. I read the book when it first came out and now listening to it, the story was new all over again.Who was your favorite character and why?
Sam is my favorite. No matter how tough he acted, his heart melted when he was around Cassidy. His consideration for the younger sister, Josephine, was thoughtful and I could "hear" his tenderness.Which scene was your favorite?
The opening of the saddlebags after the flood and finding her bible there but not her gold was written so well, I felt I was on the bank of the river sitting in the mud.Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Definitely, I wanted to continue listening but I was interrupted by family events so it took me a couple days. I never felt the book lacked excitement.Any additional comments?
This is a book I will keep on my cloud not only as audible but as an ebook itself. I often re-read my favorites.A wonderful and exciting adventure...
