Listening to Soulsucker was thrilling and completely gripping from start to finish. Jeffrey Simmons weaves an intense story of alien abduction, survival, and betrayal that kept me on the edge of my seat. Robert Woody’s dynamic and immersive narration brought every twist and suspenseful moment to life. This audiobook made me feel the tension, fear, and excitement as if I were living the adventure alongside the characters.

I was hooked from the start

Soulsucker is one of those audiobooks that grabs you in the first few minutes and refuses to let go. Jeffrey Simmons has created a story that blends classic sci-fi suspense with modern, psychological tension, alien abduction, survival stakes, and layers of betrayal that keep you second-guessing everyone.

The characters are strong and believable, especially the protagonist, whose fear, resilience and desperate determination make the story feel grounded despite the high-concept sci-fi premise. And the twists—there are several—are genuinely satisfying. I thought I had figured out the direction more than once, only to be proven wrong in the best possible way.

I couldn’t stop listening!!! I became so attached to the main acharacters: Aiden, Lena, Elias, Ben, and Maya. I was completely taken with their journey from everyday life to the edge of the universe was absolutely mesmerizing. Their strange connection with Kaelen, the alien made of pure energy, was haunting and full of emotion. It’s one of those rare sci-fi stories that feels huge and intimate at the same time, and it stayed with me long after it was over.

Perfect for Late-Night Listening

I listened to this as an audiobook during my commute and ended up hooked right away. The tension builds fast, and the narration really pulled me into the danger and uncertainty. I caught myself sitting in the driveway just to finish a chapter. It’s intense, gripping, and made my drives feel way shorter than usual.
