Soulful Poems is a collection of poetry written by Katie Carey as she healed her own trauma from an abusive childhood filled with domestic violence and the toxic relationships she encountered throughout her life.
In 2013, Katie founded an alternative mental health charity called Stages, and educated herself with a degree combining Psychology, Counselling, Psychotherapy, and the Science of the Mind. She also trained as a Mindfulness and CBT Coach Therapist, Reiki Master, Holistic Therapist, and an EFT Practitioner who now supports thousands of people with their mental health.
In 2017, Katie became disabled, and was ill-health retired due to Multiple-Joint Osteoarthritis (MJOA) and Fibromyalgia.
Katie found herself “unemployable” and went on a mission of self-discovery, finding what she could create for herself.
In 2020, Katie started investing in coaching and mentorship and launched the Soufulvalley Podcast, which is now a top 0.5% globally ranked podcast.
Katie's poems were a life-changing catalyst in her journey to self-love, and an integral part of her healing process.
Her poems have also inspired many others in their own healing journey, which led Katie to compile her poems in this book to share hope and healing with the world.
Katie helps spiritual entrepreneurs to become international best-selling authors in her multi-author book collaborations, and grows their impact through subsequent interviews on her globally ranked podcast.
