Publisher's summary

On Delephron, an immense mag-train hurtles through desert. Within its metal confines there lies a hidden message, one that could bring the Raven Guard into such ill repute it would risk its very survival.

Only the Shadowmasters, the finest of the Chapter’s elite, have the skill to infiltrate the high-speeding mag-lev and extract the message before their presence is known. But dark forces stir against them, servants of the Plague God intent on their own fell purpose.

And who is the Inquisitor Bledheim, and what could he possibly know to inflict such a deadly blow to the sons of Corax?

Exciting and quick.

I really enjoyed this story for the high octane train adventure it was. The voiice actors chosen for this story was a great choice. They all provided a distinct character to the narrative that helped define them and, in this case, helped define the Raven guard beyond, being another space marine chapter. There is a surprise twist at the end I wasn't expecting and it was done in a great way. This is the first Raven guard story I've ever heard of fear and hope George Man continues the story.

Inspired me to paint Raven Guard

After listening to this, I was inspired to paint my marines Raven Guard. This story is really neat, and has a lot of awesome points. Like all these short stories; I just wish they were longer.

A good quick lessen with lots of action.

Short, sweet and to the point. An espionage mission gone wrong, the Ravens have to fight a way to fight their way out of the situation they're in. If the is a sequel out there, let me know.

Missed the mark

Similar to books like Red marked and Censure but didn't hold up to the performance nor story of them. If you are a raven guard fan than go for it otherwise you can skip it.
