Publisher's summary

A poignant and heartwarming novel about friendship, ghosting, and searching for answers to life’s mysteries.

When Mackenzie, Sunna, and Maude move into a converted rental house, they are strangers with only one thing in common - important people in their lives have “ghosted” them. Mackenzie’s sister, Sunna’s best friend, and Maude’s fiancé - all gone with no explanation.

So when a mangled, near-indecipherable letter arrives in their shared mailbox - hinting at long-awaited answers - each tenant assumes it’s for her. The mismatched trio decides to stake out the coffee shop named in the letter - the only clue they have - and in the process, a bizarre kinship forms. But the more they learn about each other, the more questions (and suspicions) they begin to have. All the while, creepy sounds and strange happenings around the property suggest that the ghosts from their pasts might not be all that’s haunting them....

Will any of the housemates find the closure they are looking for? Or are some doors meant to remain closed?

Quirky, humorous, and utterly original, Sorry I Missed You is the perfect listen for anyone who has ever felt haunted by their past (or by anything else).

Easy listen

The story is about 3 women who live in the same house in different apartments and their relationship and how their intertwined. It wasn't the best book that I listen to this summer, but it was a great 1 to finish the summer with.

The narrator's portrail of Maude is so bad that it's absolutely perfect. If you listen to the story, you'll understand what I mean.

QUIRKY, TOUCHING & HILARIOUS!

This book really caught me off guard. It’s laugh out loud funny, a little spooky, lots of wackiness. It was great. I listened to it in one day. It’s so hard to explain this book because the storyline is so unique. I guess I would say it’s about finding friends in the most unexpected places who help you grow, know & stand up for yourself & moving forward. It’s also about multigenerational female friendship. I’m proud of the three women in this book. Each one taught me something & throughly entertained me. This is definitely a ladies book. It’s like a Girls Night Out without ever leaving home. It came to me right when I needed some fun & laughter in my life. I LOVED IT!

Kind of odd story

I finished but it was kind of an odd story. Characters were kind of fun though.

fun story with great characters. I couldn't stop listening! and I loved that it was something I could share with my daughter, who started hanging out with me a lot while I was listening. ;)

Life lessons

A cute contemporary that I give a 3.5 that I am rounding up to a 4 because of Amanda Ronconi’s excellent narration.

THAT was a fun one!

At first I wasn't quite sure where this one was going , but out of curiosity & because of the engaging, imperfect characters, I hung on. So glad I did! Lots of twists & turns, some great life lessons & a very satisfying ending.

Lighthearted, easy listening

Sometimes you just don’t need complexity. Like an old friend, there’s no effort to get wrapped up in this fun story, and it’s still enjoyable and memorable if you have to put it aside for other priorities.

Worth the buy!

This book is well written and packs a lot of emotion into a somewhat complex storyline. The ending may not be what people expect, but it felt right for the characters. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the voiced the voice narrator used for some of the characters. She made one of the main females sound like a man and I wasn’t a fan. Definitely worth the buy!
