Publisher's summary

Using practical, firsthand stories that offer helpful, portable takeaways, Pastor Boyd looks at the interweaving of his journey from spiritual orphan to treasured son, offering candid stories and freeing insights for every Christian still longing to come home.

The truth is, many of us as Christians still strive to “fit in” with God even when our Father offers us the identity of beloved daughters and sons. We’ve already been admitted, approved, and accepted - but we aren’t living that way.

In Sons and Daughters, Pastor Boyd looks at the interweaving of God’s grace and our daily lives: How do those who know they are God’s children think, speak, and act differently? How do they function as leaders and friends? How do they walk through pain?

You - and the purposes God has for you - are a cause for celebration, a reason to be both fearless and faithful. Come discover how to live like you belong.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This book holds some amaing truths that if we can even begin to truly grasp them has the ability to change our lives! So many things I did not understand about myself and others was made clear as he takes us on a study of orphans and the orphan mentality we so often struggle with. when I began to see the huge difference in how others react to the you know that you know that you know you are a son or daughter, and heir, with all the rights, responsibilities, and privlidges that goes along with that... wow.... Yes, I would recomend this a hundred times yes!!!

What did you like best about this story?

the way it made me think differently. the truth when I recognized it was trasforming!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I might have wanted to but am glad I was not able to... it takes time to digest... It is however, a book I will listen to again and again, hoping to be able to absorb more of the truths it contatins.

I believe!

What made the experience of listening to Sons and Daughters the most enjoyable?

I like the short chapters. When listening to a book, you sometimes get distracted but the short, to the point, chapters really break down the lesson Pastor Boyd is explaining.

What did you like best about this story?

I really enjoyed the true to life stories that happen to all of us at some time in our lives or know people that have these stories. Pastor Boyd so gently yet strongly proves over and over how God loves us, forgives us, teaches us... God is our Father and treats us as his children no matter our age or past. As a mom myself, the story reiterates how unconditional love works.

Would you be willing to try another one of Adam Verner’s performances?

No. Having heard Pastor Boyd give a sermon in person, I did not like the narrator. Boyd has a bright fun personality and way of speaking and I feel like the narrator does not do the stories justice with a bland voice.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

No matter where you have been, you can always come home to God.
