The title of the book says enough…titled by the Word Himself…The song…of all songs… This sacred book has been the favorite for many Christian saints and mystics throughout history. It is not only a story of young lovers finding love and discovering true beauty; it is our story. The Song of Songs is an invitation into the great drama of life in Christ. It is a script into which we are invited to play one of the two leading roles! It is a map wherein we can find our location in our journey with Jesus; and a compass from which we can determine where we are headed. The short prayers offered in this book are simple tools to help you begin each journey into contemplation. They are meditative pieces that not only initiate the prayer time, but provide an anchor for your mind should it begin to drift as you seek your center in Christ. These prayers (or portions of these prayers written in bold) can be repeated slowly and softly until your mind is at rest and your heart is engaged with the Father’s presence.
