Publisher's Summary

The Lightwoods, the Shadowhunters who run the New York Institute, are expecting a new addition to their family: the orphaned son of their father’s friend, Jace Wayland. Alec and Isabelle aren’t too sure they want a new brother, and their parents are not assuaging their fears, too occupied with the dark news that Raphael Santiago, second-in-command of the New York vampire clan, has brought from the Shadow Market.

Cassandra Clare did it again!! I'm hooked...

This is a great story told from Jem's perspective, which is something I have been hoping for since I first read the Clockwork Angel. Inspired!

love the City of Bones series but this is lacking

I'm a huge Cassandra Clare fan and live her City of Bones series, have read and loved all of her books so was glad to find these short stories, but this was disappointing, not at all the quality of writing I am accustomed to from Cassandra Clare.

Will and Jen

Thanks Cassie for keeping Will present with Jem in this book. And Jace, Alec, and Izzy are too cute.

Great

This world of shadow hunters is my favorite to escape to. Although the stories have humor and adventure and love the dispair and sadness always hits me the hardest.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

I have read every book in this series, except these ones because they are audiobook only, BUT, i was not disappointed. Even though the chapters are small, and the book itself, it still has that feel of a 400+ page book. Cant wait to "read" all 8

I love this book

I likedd this book. I really enjoyed knowing a bit more about Jace's arrival to the Lightwood family. However, parallel to this fact, we have the involvement of Brother Zacarias with Raphael Santiago, and the recession of vampires, werewolves and faeries with Clave, and in the case of Raphael Santiago with Robert and his wife ...
