Publisher's Summary

From the New York Times bestselling author of Something Borrowed comes a novel that shows how someone with a ‘perfect life' can lose it all—and then find everything.

Darcy Rhone thought she had it all figured out: the more beautiful the girl, the more charmed her life. Never mind substance. Never mind playing by the rules. Never mind karma.

But Darcy's neat, perfect world turns upside down when her best friend, Rachel, the plain-Jane "good girl," steals her fiancé, while Darcy finds herself completely alone for the first time in her life…with a baby on the way.

Darcy tries to recover, fleeing to her childhood friend living in London and resorting to her tried-and-true methods for getting what she wants. But as she attempts to recreate her glamorous life on a new continent, Darcy finds that her rules no longer apply. It is only then that Darcy can begin her journey toward self-awareness, forgiveness, and motherhood.

Emily Giffin's Something Blue is a novel about one woman's surprising discoveries about the true meaning of friendship, love, and happily-ever-after. It's a novel for anyone who has ever, even secretly, wondered if the last thing you want is really the one thing you need.

Hated To Love

This was a book I hated to love? Hah. If that makes sense. The main character of the book is so into herself, so grumpy, so back-stabbing and snot-nosed I was not sure how or why I kept on listening. I would say the Author was able to intrigue me enough that I was curious how things were going to end and at times I actually found myself cheering and or feeling bad for the snot-nosed back-stabber.
If you are looking for a good, quick read.. give this one a try. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Abridged version

I rarely purchase abridged audio books as they usually seem choppy and I feel like I've missed something important. Something Blue clearly is the exception I actually enjoyed this abridged version more than the unabridged Something Borrowed.

Good choice for a long ride.

Darcy has it all and she gambles high. No wonder she's devastated when she looses everything. But in den end it does her good. Realistic? No! Fun to read: Yes!

Very enjoyable

I read Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin before reading this book, which I highly recommend doing. It was an enjoyable read, and I recommend to those who enjoy light reading. It definitely helped pass the time on my drive into work.

Beach Book

Hard to believe it, but you actually come to like Darcy in this book. Something Borrowed should definitely be read first though.
Nice, light listen!

A fun read

I enjoyed this book. I downloaded it into my iPod and had a few good laughs. The reason why I purchased this book was because I read the book Something Borrowed by the same author and if you do buy this book you really should wait until you read Something Borrorwed first. Something Blue is sequel to Something Borrowed.

Loved it

Giffin's does an extraordinary job making this book's heroine someone we can care about (esp after she was antagonist in the previous story - Something Borrowed) I am not normally a chick-lit fan, but I loved this book. I was also very lucky to meet the author at my local bookstore and can't wait till she release's her third book!

meh

it was just ok. the first book in the series was great, but this one was lack luster. perhaps it's partially due to the fact that it centers around an unlikable character?
