Publisher's summary

When coed Ally Monroe literally falls into the arms of a tattooed bad-boy one summer night, she can’t seem to let go. Morgan Jordan is everything Ally doesn’t want — he’s a playboy from a blue-collar background, and Ally’s looking for upper-class stability. Though their relationship starts off as a one-night stand, once Ally learns Morgan is her best friend’s brother, there’s no escaping him…or the growing fire between them.

As Ally and Morgan become closer, they confront bitter enemies, his sister’s disapproval, and paths taking them in different directions at summer’s end. When their greatest test arises, it’s one that threatens to destroy them both. This second audiobook in the bestselling Someone to Love series proves that in love and passion, sometimes two wrongs do make a right.

This was a fun book, great story. I really enjoyed the bad boy Morgan and how he works to win Ally over and their relationship.

Worst stripper ever.

What did you love best about Someone Like You?

This was worth the credit and a great read, I felt like I stepped back in time especially the writing was really good and funny. The story was not what I was expecting and I'm looking forward to additional books.

Entertaining and Predictable! Still love it!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, it was a very cute love story

Who was your favorite character and why?

Morgan, hot and sexy guy that didn't used girls. He had a very sensitive side and loving/caring.

What does Luke Daniels and Kate Rudd bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Kate should have only narrated this book only. She has a great voice to male and female. Luke sounded too old for Morgan.

Note: When considering narrators for these books, you MUST consider the age the characters. That's what makes a good listening story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was okay to break up the book into 2 parts.

Summer college age romance

Summer loving had me a blast. Summer loving happened so fast. I met a girl crazy for me. I met a guy sexy AF. Sound familiar? It should. Ally never expected someone like Morgan to crash into her life. Falling for the right person never felt so good. They fell fast and hard.

College-age romance. Rom-com. Witty remarks. Summer romance. Sexually driven story.

Overall:
Almost 4 years later I decided to revisit this book. I gave a high five the first time around. Since 2014 I’ve grown as a reader and my interest has changed. Yet I couldn’t resist owning this audiobook. I decided to give it a second go since my first read was met with happy stars. I guess I was in a different place in my life 4 years ago. I wasn’t as enthusiastic about this book the second time.

Narrators:
Luke Daniels is the voice in Morgan’s point of view chapters including all characters in the scenes of those chapters. While I love dual point of view performances I’m not loving the sound and tone of Luke performing the female characters.
Kate Rudd is the voice in Ally’s designated chapters including all the characters in her point of view. Kate doesn’t try to accommodate her sound or tone to match that of Morgan’s character or any of the other male characters, I’m not sure I’m pleased by that or not.

While the words were steamy the performance wasn’t. It’s read word perfectly. It was mechanical. The sex scenes lacked excitement and enthusiasm.

Characters:
Tess and Del
Ally and Morgan
Kennedy and Cruise
Cal and Lauren
Molly Cruise’s sister
Derek Ally’s brother

The Ally’s character and dialogue was annoying. The jealous girls and antics were annoying. Most of the dialogue was cheesy yet funny. I chuckled a few times while rolling my eyes. It was predictable and at times boring. Just another couple in a race to the finish line of winning their HEA.
