Publisher's Summary

A young woman has been murdered in River City. Police Detective John Tower is assigned to the case but there are few clues to go on. As he digs into the case, he's soon picking up hints that this murder may not be the killer's first...or his last.

Virgil Kelly lives in the shadowy world of the criminal underground. He's just arrived in River City with a single-minded mission: find his daughter's killer and bury him. In his search for a murderer, Tower uses his experience and training along with all the expertise of modern forensics. In the hunt for his prey, Kelley uses intimidation and violence, tools which he wields with precision and anger. Virgil Kelley and John Tower are on a collision course. Somebody is going to die. River City will never be the same.

Good police story

Good storyline that is well told. it is a clever idea to tell it from two perspectives.

Suspenseful!

Well-written but would have preferred way less language. Graphic also. Conor Hall did a good job narrating. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

"Real" Crime Story

Realism is the keyword to describe this tale of 2 opposing ideologies and protagonists in this murder mystery. Told in those 2 first-person accounts, you really get to know each character's background and how they think. A good cop and a bad guy each have their merits and faults, again with the realism... It's obvious the author has police/detective experience as that comes through in spades. Highly recommended.

There's two ways to catch a murderer.

I really enjoyed this plot of the dual investigation of these murders. A cop and a vigilante father. Very violent. Very well written. Interesting characters. Who will find the killer first? Will they collide or work together? The vigilante is so violent and criminal. The cop using police tactics, etc. Quite the page turner! I listened to Audible version of this book. The narrator has different voices for each character. Great help in keeping the characters separate while listening. A rough, creepy voice for the vigilante. Great job. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Excellent

Good police protocol, and told from two perspective. The narration by Hall added to the story and had a good voice.. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
