good one

I found this book both a useful primer on SEO as well as an instruction manual for Facebook marketing of your product or business. Although I’ve done SEO in the past, it was good to get back up to speed, especially with how it works on Facebook.

Finally a book that is not only easy to implement

Finally a book that is not only easy to implement but thorough! Definitely for someone (like me) who has very little social media experience and doesn't want to waste time testing the waters without a discernible plan. I'm on social media first-and-foremost to market my business and this book delivers for that. It's full of actionable items, freebies, links, and suggestions. I don't feel like I need any other how-to social media book in order to take my business to a new level.

good one

If you are not constantly highlighting key notes in this book then you're wrong. My apparel company (Til Valhalla Project) has made leaps and bounds of several thousand followers because of the information this book provided. No it will not do it for you. You have to learn/implement and grow with the knowledge. I keep the book on my desk before I make a post and skim all the highlighted parts. More often than not I find something I would have overlooked if I hadn't looked back. Now my company does much better in growing itself and I had more time for sales, which did great. Huge thanks to the Author!

Chock full of updated information for small busin

Chock full of updated information for small businesses and non-profits, this book is the bible of doing social media marketing right! It not only takes the reader through, step by step, what needs to happen to get the business to customers through social media – it then helps put it right into practice by having the workbook portion to put what has just been learned right into practice. The author also gives good advice by explaining that it takes more thought and planning when engaging through social media for marketing purposes than it does simply as a user. Filled with prompts for review, tools, downloadable worksheets, links for more information on the authors website and more this author has his fingertip on the pulse of what marketers need to begin with in social media marketing and be successful from the very beginning!

Comprehensive and Not boring!

Wow. Just wow. This book is comprehensive! I have a small online business and I needed to read this book. Funnily, I didn't actually want to because I despise social media and hate that I have to be a part of it to be successful with my business in this world. Plus, I've taken a couple courses here and there and it's always so boring. This book though, well, the author has a sense of humor which is thoroughly appreciated and makes the book so much easier to read.

Do yourself a favor, also, and download the PDF version! It has clickable links, worksheets, and so much more than just the kindle version. The interactiveness of it also makes the whole experience engaging. Not quite fun, but definitly not as dry and boring as I anticipated. There is a link to register the book and when you do, then you can download a ton of more resources than just what the book has. Totally worth it.

The book starts out with an extensive explanation of what social media is, how it works, and the various ways to interact. In fact, this book is great for folks who don't have experience with the different social media channels as it takes you through all the steps of setting up your sites and managing the settings. I kinda thought I knew all about social media since I've been using it for so long, however, Jason had some ways of looking at it that opened my eyes to new ways of interacting. The only thing that was missing for me was which channels work best and which ones I should use more. The book does a great job of explaining everything, however, with so many options it's easy to throw money away trying them all (like all the promotional options with facebook) and not getting much in return. I would have liked to hear which facebook promo option is best and why.

Excellent book

The book Social Media Marketing Tips talked about how us as future business owners and entrepreneurs can help prepare ourselves to be as successful as we can. It went through all the main social media sites like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Blogging and Snapchat. All these channels offer a unique set of advantages in the online business world. Facebook is the most common and widespread internet business source you do almost anything on Facebook. You can start a business page rather than a user like what we use as just people and from their you can make criteria on who, what and how you want to reach your target market. Through pictures, links, videos and everything else Facebook has to offer you can grab the attention of all the users you can possibly reach. When selling a particular product or set of products you can choose what type of clientele you want to reach. Similarly, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest you can create specific business accounts to help create a much more professional approach to starting an online business. Although, each of these apps offer a little different service, Twitter has a bigger client interaction approach. The more users get involved the more ads they are gonna see for their interest. Instagram uses videos, live streams and stories to get customers involved and excited to be apart of your business. Pinterest also utilizes pictures and with Pinterest customers can save the advertisement and post where as instagram there really isn't a way to save a post. Another source LinkedIn and also Google plus you get the much more business aspect of Social Media Marketing you can see through starting “Groups” and gaining a following that you can either embrace the competition or fold. Google+ offers conferencing where you can bring in you customers for a more personal experience. The last two types I want to talk about are Snapchat and Youtube, Snapchat works mainly as support for other Social Media channels. It helps with keeping in touch with your customers but it also keeps them wondering since snaps are only around for 1-10 seconds. Youtube is the biggest search engine on the internet for bloggers and business owners people work hard at keeping people in the loop by posting live videos and streaming.

I am just seriously delving into social media mark

I am just seriously delving into social media marketing and I find this is an excellent primer. The author give very clear descriptions of the best way use Facebook, Twitter, Linked-in,You Tube, Piinterest, and Instagram to best market your business. The book saves a lot of trial and error wondering what works and what doesn't depending on your brand and goals. One of the best things are the worksheets. They are very practical. You set up a login and then you have access to these. You can also use it as a reference if you are working with just one of the media because the chapters are broken up by social media type. I highly recommend this book.

This book simplifies social media marketing as a whole, then breaks it down for the different platforms. What makes this book better than the rest is that it also gives you the tools you need to make your first (or next) social media marketing campaign less mind-boggling work -- and more effective. This book is perfect for any size business -- or for anyone who wants to learn to use social media as a way to market products, services, or ideas.

Please take it from me. I've spent the past fifteen years as a copywriter, which means I've read hundreds of books on all types of marketing and advertising. This book is the most comprehensive resource you will find on the topic of social media marketing.

I have just stepped into a role in marketing for my company and was looking for a book to use as a guide while I start finding my way through social media. I have grown up with social media as a resource staple but still wasn't quite familiar in how to adjust my experience to match what I am expecting for my company's profile.
This book is very well organized - things that I wouldn't have even considered have been included in the guide and every bit of advice and guidance is relevant to what I am trying to achieve.
I really like the face that you receive a permanent link to the PDF of the book as well as access to various worksheets to truly customize your experience in social media marketing.
I would HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who is trying to dip their toes in the social media marketing field and looking to dig deeper as you get more comfortable in what you are doing as well as how you are doing it.

This book is also really for beginners. There is a LOT of useful information in here, but the workbooks spends lots of time discussing how Facebook posts work, how to create a LinkedIn profile, etc, so it may not be as helpful for those with an intermediate proficiency with social media platforms.
I think this book would be great for a marketing department of one, or someone trying to get a new business off the ground, or start a social media presence for an existing company.
The one thing I will say is a negative about the book is how long it is! The Kindle version was over 400 pages. I know there’s a lot of ground to cover with social media, but I felt like there could be some trimming down to make it a bit of a shorter read.

I absolutely love the analogy of social media to

I absolutely love the analogy of social media to throwing a party. It’s perfect in every way. It makes social media marketing into something tangible that we all can understand. We’ve all either attended or hosted a party. We know what a good party and a bad party felt like. We know what it feels like to go to a party and can’t wait for the same person to throw another one. Really powerful thought. My only disagreement is I believe he sold Snapchat a little short. I feel like if social media is a party, Snapchat is like the invitations. I watch people mindless scroll through Snapchat and although it is difficult to track metrics, I believe that it has it’s value in social media marketing. Especially in swaying a group of friends to hangout in the same place in efforts to inflict FOMO on their friends with Snapchat stories and snap map. Other than that, he nailed the other platforms. Definitely worth your time whether you are familiar with social media or learning what a hashtag is. Jason dug deep and threw a wonderful marketing party for himself in this instructional workbook.
