Publisher's summary

American heiress Amelia Hathaway needs to start anew. Her husband cheated on her, and when everything she wanted in life slipped through her fingers, she fell apart. When she did, she took another heart wrenching hit as she lost the respect of her children.

When her ex took her family from California to live in the small town of Magdalene in Maine, Amelia decided it was time to sort herself out. In order to do that and win her children back, she moves to Cliff Blue, an architectural masterpiece on the rocky coast of Magdalene. Her boxes aren’t even unpacked when she meets Mickey Donovan, a man who lives across the street, a man so beautiful Amelia takes one look at him and knows she wants it all from him. The problem is she finds out swiftly that he's friendly, he's kind, but he doesn’t want everything back.

Amelia struggles to right past wrongs in her life and at the same time find out who she wants to be. She also struggles with her attraction to the handsome firefighter who lives across the street. But Amelia will face a surprise when her friendly neighbor becomes not so friendly. As Amelia and Mickey go head to head, Amelia must focus on winning back the hearts of her children. She soon discovers she also must focus on winning the heart of a handsome firefighter who understands down to his soul that the beautiful heiress who lives across the street is used to a life he cannot provide.

Another great adult romance by Kristen Ashley. My FAVORITE thing about her books is that the characters are always mature and they don't do childish things to cause unnecessary drama and there is usually a single parent involved! This book was exactly what I wanted it to be when I found out it was Mickey's book. I love how different the couples are in this series and how much that doesn't even matter. Besides the obvious romance, sex and warm fuzzies this book gave me, I think the best thing about this one for me was Mickey's Ex. She grew so much and I loved how her character could have been nothing but drama and cause all kinds of problems but instead she found her was without all that. Great book all around!

Narration was good, I wasn't a huge fan in book 1 but I think I got used to her and she was good for these characters.

Family

A nice family story that shows that there is life after divorce for the kids as well as the adults

Lovely story

I love KA stories. I like this series because of the way she's delt with the children in both stories.

Lovely voice, terrible direction

What made the experience of listening to Soaring the most enjoyable?

I

What didn’t you like about Hollis McCarthy’s performance?

I liked Hollis' voice but I absolutely could not stand the direction. The pauses and sometimes overdone enunciation almost made me stop listening to the book.

Good Listen

I liked this book as I do most Kristen Ashley books. It did take me longer to warm up to the characters than it usually does but KA always does a good job developing the characters and I did end up liking them.

The narrator is good and has an older sounding voice which is on point because the main characters are in their mid to late 40s.

Overall a good read/listen and worth a credit.

Good story and very full dimensional character development. Kristen Ashley loves to write alright. Worth the reading time though.

47 never felt so good!

This is my favorite Kirsten Ashley book! Thank you for making Amelia in her late 40's! We need more women like this helping society see that being in your 40's isstill YOUNG and sexy! Great story and kept me entertained from beginning to end.
